Despite being a small part of the parent organization, with just over a couple of hundred employees, this team has conceptualized, designed and created a range of first-of-its-kind products, taking care of the whole gamut of technologies like hardware, embedded software, mobile applications, web services and other backend technologies.As you may have noticed, the way we watch TV is going through a transformation. This cuts across multiple dimensions like video delivery mechanism, content discovery interfaces, highly competitive dynamics in the market, and the sheer multitude of content available to the customer. This is an exciting time to look at this space and help the company define the future of TV.Qualification and ExperienceEssential

  • BE/B.Tech or equivalent degree in Computer Scienceor related field.
  • Experience:+7years of experience with Automation
Highly desirable
  • Must have hands on programming and scripting experience inPython
  • Must have hands on experienceonAPI testingwithHTTP tools: Fiddler, Postman, Swagger,Jmeter,Charles
  • Well versed with: Rest API testing end to end with knowledge of HTTP/HTTPS/TCP etc.,
  • Infra knowledge: Load balancer, server nodes, CDNs, different cache
  • Worked with DBs:Couchbase,Redis,Mysql
  • Knowledge on:Grafana,RabbitMQ, New Relic
  • Exposure to AWS infra will be big plus
  • Experience in setting up/configuring Jenkins Master/Slave configurations. Exposure to CI/CD/DevOps practices would be an added advantage. hands on with:Bitbucket, orGitor SVN repos,Dockers
Responsibilities/Accountabilities
  • Create test plans, defining the automation architecture, specifying positive and negative testing techniques, and addressing service functionality, monitoring, integration, performance, resiliency, security, scalability, and reliability.
  • Analyze and understand existing test coverage, identifying opportunities for redesign, replacement, reusability, and improvement in efficiency and performance of tests.
  • Drive testing of EPG service and end-to-end test, with automated test environment. Experience with deployments in different environment like On-premises, K8s, AWS etc.,
  • Identify and/or design modern automated test techniques to update and upgrade existing manual and automated tests.
  • Ensure that the design/implementation of Automation Framework is highly modular, portable and optimized for the given platform
  • Familiar with Black box and White box testing for Unit tests as well as Integration tests
  • Understand the pain points, problems, and challenges in the backend testing areas by the test engineering teams, provide technical direction to address them and in turn enhance quality and productivity.
