Job Description

* -General responsibilities -Registered Nurse

  • Handing and taking over patient, drugs and details report at every shift change.
  • Go for rounds with consultants, note down and implement instruction.
  • Rising of various requisitions related to treatment and other nursing procedures.
  • Administration of oral drugs, intravenous, intramuscular injections.
  • Bedside Nursing care for bedridden patient.
  • Coordinate with ward secretary regarding admissions, discharges of patient and billing activities.
  • To inform notifiable disease and inform to the medical record department.
  • Coordinate with Food Services and dietary department for patient diet.
  • Administration of Intra Venous (I.V) therapy.
  • Preparation of patient for minor, major and emergency surgeries.
  • To check basic necessary equipment for the shift.ex:larynges scope and torch light,BP apparatus.
  • To take care of patient with continuous bladder drainage and Tracheotomy.
  • Responsible for the disposal of biomedical waste.
  • To follow hand washing technique and strict isolation techniques
  • To check the cleanliness of the unit.
  • To participate and contribute to departmental quality initiatives
  • To be aware of departments performance and objective.
  • To carryout data collection/support in data collection.
  • To adhere the safety norms of hospital and follow both patient safety and staff safety rules.
  • To perform any Job / task as and when asked by the superior.
  • To coordinate with other departmental activities and that should be related to the health care services of the patient.
  • To take care of the sterilization activities and to have adequate sterile dressing materials and instruments.
  • To prevent and control the hospital associated infection.
  • To maintain documents legibly
  • To follow and take precautionary measures Covid-19 Pandemic as per the Apollo red Book guidelines
