YOU define what s possible.ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:Provide support to complex office/manufacturing LAN/WAN/VPN and wireless infrastructure.Troubleshoot network routing protocol issues (BGP, OSPF and EIGRP), and familiar with various WAN technologies.Be part of Global Network Engineering team to incorporate company standards and preferred practices into local site network builds.Monitor network for proper operations and respond to network outages.Implement changes to hardware and/or software that improve network performance, speed and connectivity.Utilize network monitoring tools to ensure the network infrastructure is high reliable.Partner with the Security or Cyber Defense team to fix detected vulnerabilities with systems and users to maintain high security standard.Interact with vendors, service providers, and business units for integration of services and systems.Participate in IT projects as needed.Respond to incidents and service requests according to the Service Level Agreements.Collaborate with other global IT functional teams as needed.ABOUT WESTERN DIGITALThe future.
