What s more, we are in collaboration with leading academics, industry experts and highly skilled engineers to equip our customers to generate sophisticated new insights from the biggest of big data.Join us to do the best work of your career and make a profound social impact as a Advisor on our Data Engineering team in Bangalore/Remote.What you ll achieveAs a member of DAA (Data, Analytics and Automation) organization, this role is responsible for providing data engineering and analytical support to Dell Supply Chain Organization by building data solutions and providing insight to support data driven business decisions.You will:

  • Understand Supply Chain KPIs, datasets to define and model key variables impacting the business or process to drive decision-making or optimization.
  • Lead Data Engineering by creating processes and methods to gather supply chain data, analyze data to identify problematic areas and suggest improvements, develop requirements and process standards.
  • Perform exploratory data analysis, design and develop advanced analytical, data mining/machine learning algorithms and predictive models to identify performance patterns and trends in supply chain processes for improvement.
  • Ability to define and quantify improvement in customer experience or value for the business resulting from projects.
  • Build strong relationship with key business partners to improve added value for business; develop and manage strategic partnership projects.

  • 6+ years of relevant work experience with bachelor s degree or higher in Computer Science/IT, Applied Science, Math, Statistics or equivalent field.
  • Very strong in database management systems with proficiency in data transformation processes & technologies (DDL, DML, procedural, ETL, SQL, OLAP, SSIS, SSAS)
  • Able to gather and process data at scale; design and develop data applications using selected tools (Greenplum /PostgreSQL/Teradata/MSSQL, Python) and frameworks.
  • Highly skilled in SQL and working knowledge in coding in one of the languages Python, R, T-SQL, PL/pgSQL highly preferred.
  • Relevant experience working with business functions and understanding requirements and translating them into technical /functional language. Able to manage the business engagements.
  • Good communication skills through data visualizations (Power BI), written and oral presentations to both technical and non-technical audiences, active listening and able to deliver clear and concise presentations.

  • Experience with code versioning, CI/CD tools.
  • Exposure to Agile/Scrum setup of work.
  • Good at project management skills and demonstrated ability to balance between competing priorities, able to be flexible and creative.
