Job Description

Middleware Administrator (IIS)Job DescriptionThe job includes working with the various technology teams, developers, vendors, and management of new hardware and operating systems infrastructure. The Engineer will be responsible for the administration, installation, configuration of various MW products such as IIS, Tomcat, Apache etc on standalone and clustered environment for multiple clients.Technical Expertise required:

  • PRIMARY Skill: IIS
  • Secondary Skill: Tomcat/ Apache/Jboss (Middleware) Admin, Scripting, Docker
  • Knowledge of Powershell scripting
  • The Middleware Application Administrator position requires self-motivation and technical proficiency in the administration and configuration of application server/software including effective troubleshooting abilities. This position is focused on providing application administration and support to the designated application technology stack to ensure maximum uptime for Consumer Production Systems.
  • Production Admin Knowledge in (either or all) IIS 7 and 8 (or the latest) in production environment (Cloud Experience is desirable)
  • Scripting knowledge (either or all) : Power shell, HTML, XML, JavaScript, PHP, VBA, Perl, Python, AWK, Shell Script
  • Strong knowledge in IIS and Windows
  • Database Skills (either or all)- MS SQL 2005/2008 , IBM DB2, Oracle 9.x/10.x , Informix , MySql , MS Access preferred
  • Platform skills (either or all) - Windows, Linux, UNIX (HP-UX, AIX, Solaris). Experience in Windows cluster is preferred
  • Strong experience in performance Tuning/ troubleshooting and third part apps integration.
  • Programming knowledge / debugging skill in Java/J2EE, ASP or .Net preferable
  • ITIL support process awareness preferred.
  • Knowledge in Advanced Application Monitoring.
  • Responsible for Application Maintenance & Stability.
  • Strong knowledge in Fine Tuning & Performance Management of Middleware Applications
  • Knowledge in application deployment.
  • Good in problem analyzing and solving.
Experience and Key Responsibilities:
  • Primary Skill: Internet Information Server (IIS)
  • Secondary Skill: Apache/Tomcat/JBOSS
  • At least 12-15 years of experience in Middleware Administration
  • Proficiency in ITIL is preferred
  • Certification in relevant technology is an added advantage
  • Candidate is expected to handle:
    • Incident Management, Problem Management, Change Management, Configuration Management, Project Management
    • Escalations
Other Mandatory Requirement:
  • Should be ready to work in any shift including Night shift
  • Should be ready to work during weekend (SAT and SUN)
  • Should be a good team player
  • Capable of handling escalation independently
