Job Description

This evolution and the successful track record of our IT Compliance team in Bangalore is driving an increase in the demand for our IT risk management expertise. What youll be doing:

  • Support implementation of the monitoring roadmap to enhance monitoring in line with requirements, policies and standards to govern all activities and outputs.
  • Monitor, triage and investigate security alerts on protective monitoring platforms to identify security incidents and perform analysis of security event data to support the response, reporting or escalating where appropriate.
  • Design, develop and support automated monitoring processes, using a variety of the latest SIEM (Security Information and Event Management) and network analysis tools, techniques and procedures to:
  • Detect malicious activity
  • Ensure continuous improvement through dashboard monitoring or retrospective assessment
  • Carry out response policies and processes to meet the needs in line with appropriate standards.
  • Communicate the results of investigations and risk mitigation outcomes, supporting an organisation to improve and maintain a robust response to new threats and attack vectors.
  • Conduct post-incident review, including root cause analysis, to feed back information and so improve monitoring.
  • Provide standardised advice on mitigation.
Who youll be working with: Youll be part of a team of talented technology risk professionals drawn from a variety of backgrounds, with a common goal of supporting achievement of WPPs strategy through the development of practical and pragmatic IT risk management solutions. Whilst a track record of technology risk management experience is essential, what sets members of the WPP IT Compliance team apart is the ideas they generate, their problem solving skills, a desire to shape the direction of IT risk management in WPP, an appetite to develop innovative solutions to technology risk challenges and above all an ability to thrive in a fast moving, collaborative team environment. What youll need: Hands on experience of :
  • Technical security tools, techniques and methodologies
  • Intrusion detection and analysis
  • Incident management, incident investigation and response
  • Cyber security trends and industry best practices
  • Application and infrastructure security
  • Information risk assessment and risk management
  • Threat intelligence and threat assessment
  • Cyber Security operations
  • Legal and regulatory considerations
  • Understanding the importance of strong Security controls and maintaining a positive user experience.
  • Understands security concepts to engage with security technologists and communicate in a language that is appropriate to audience.
  • Technical and service awareness.
  • Retains a holistic view on the end-to-end security service lifecycle, ensures continued quality of service for established security products and services
  • Assist on making decisions based upon evidence and data.
