Started in 2014, the center now hosts 500+ associates, for multiple Danaher operating companies focusing on Diagnostics, Life Science, and Environmental and Applied Science segments. The operating companies includes Beckman Coulter, Radiometer, Leica Biosystems, Danaher Digital, Hach, Leica Microsystems, HemoCue, Videojet, SCIEX, IDBS and Cepheid.The IDC workforce comprises of various product engineering teams, working on development of software and hardware components of cutting-edge products for, Immunoassay, Chemistry, Hematology, Molecular diagnostics, Oncology, Neurosurgery and Water Quality. IDC has evolved as center of excellence for Cloud and data analytics, with significant contributions to the key informatics solutions. The teams consist of highly hardworking software & hardware engineers and development managers. The teams are supported by local Product managers, Quality & Regulatory and Intellectual property specialists.The inhouse teams works in close coordination with other global R&D centers at US, France, Germany, Japan, Australia, Denmark and Sweden. Located at the center of Bangalore IT HUB, IDC is housed at state of art facility, measuring 120 KDescriptionWe are seeking a Lead Software Engineer with hands-on C# programming skills and exceptional systems engineering experience. This person will be responsible to design, develop and troubleshoot software applications for legacy and new medical device products.Key Responsibilities:
• Be a key contributor in the software engineering team that develops software for commercial, medical devices
• Prototype, design, implement and maintain software applications.
• Participate in cross-functional project teams to resolve software issues.
• Work in an obeya environment with cross functional teams on new product development while adhering to software development processes.
• Write technical specifications for interfaces and testing.
• Work using Agile development principles.
• Report status in daily management.
• Participate in sprint planning and sprint demos.
• Participate in book clubs and contribute toward next generation software design
Key requirements & Qualification:
• Bachelor s degree in software engineering, Computer Science or related field with no less than 5+ years of experience, or Master s/PhD degree with 3+ years in a software industry.
• Experience architecting, designing and developing .NET-based solutions and experience with WPF.
• Experience in Agile development processes and philosophies.
• Experience with unit testing and mock object frameworks
• Experience with dependency injection principles
• Experience with OOD and SOLID design principles
Preferred Qualifications
• Ability to work in a fast-paced, and often ambiguous environment where continuous improvement is a way of life.
• Ability to work independently and proactively with minimal direction.
• Excellent communication skills.
• Experience in C++, IoT, Azure IoT Edge, IoMT is a plus
• Experience in software code management is a plus.
• Experience in CI/CD pipeline deployment is a plus
• Prior knowledge or experience in image-based algorithm development a plus.
• Test driven development experience is a plus
• Understanding of software development processes for a regulated environment (ISO9000/FDA) is a plus
