Nokia is also the only end-to-end mobile network vendor working with the major operators around the world.Job DescriptionYour main responsibilities will be in the area of Software architecture, design and development for BTS (gNodeB/eNodeB) for various product lines like 5G, SRAN, CloudBTS, Small Cell, LTE and WCDMA.

  • Design & development of fast path/data plane/User plane Software for next generation 5G systems. Hands-on contribution to SW architecture and prototyping by working closely with development teams.
  • Performance profiling and tuning software on different architectures.
  • Develop and maintain various interface specification documents with description of interfaces with other NEs.
  • Support development and test teams during feature development.
  • Defining Packet flow for various customer scenarios in the IP backhaul network.
  • Review design/test documents for requirement coverage and design completeness.
  • Contribution to new products like cloud based architecture and proposals for next generation (cloud, 5G) Base Stations.
  • Analysis of complex customer problem report, proposing solutions and working with various teams for resolutions.
  • To fix critical faults and take all measure to identify the Root cause and take actions to avoid such faults in future.
Job Responsibilities & CompetenciesHands-on experience in the area of software design and development, background in telecommunication technologies & following skills are required:
  • Experience in networking, IP backhaul, IPv4, IPv6, QoS, L2 Switching, Transport Signalling/interworking & Transport Interfaces Domain.
  • Should have good understanding of networking domain and TCP/IP protocols.
  • Work experience on DPDK/ODP and Vector packet processing (VPP) , Cloud Native Network Function (CNF) and FCAPS know-how.
  • Should have good understanding of Cloudification / virtualization (VMs, Containers, pods, N/W namespaces, SRIO-V)
  • Good understanding of Operating System concepts and x86 architecture with hands-on experience on Linux internals (kernel)
  • Knowledge of ARM processors, Cavium Processors is a big plus
  • Strong in C++/C programming with good grasp on data structures/algorithms. Working knowledge of Python is desirable.
  • Either strong in object oriented design or Real time embedded Systems.
  • Good knowledge of 5G/LTE/SRAN/GSM
  • Knowledge in Agile methodologies

  • Must be BE/BTech/MTech/MCA in Computer Science/Electronics/Electrical/Information Science/Telecom with 10+ years of experience exclusively in the domain for softward design and development of large scale telecommunication systems
