Asst General Manager Job Code: VAC/PUNE/56/AGM -Purchase Designation: Asst General Manager Department: Purchase Business Unit: Garware Bestretch Ltd Location: Pune No. of positions: 1 Purchase: Material Purchase Planning execution ensure continuous material flow for production. Responsible for purchasing raw material, most of which are imported, consumables, indirect material, etc. Analyse reduce costs, improve delivery time, reduce quality complaints and bring in new ideas for improvement in purchase processes. Sourcing and developing new vendors / suppliers for quality services Follow-up with suppliers, Guide other team members in Purchase based on the available experience Should interact with plant PPC, R D for production plan and new item development Visit plant at regular intervals to take stock of development activity and other production related issues. Have a good rapport with plant heads be aware of latest activities in plant Guide Asst./Dy Manager Purchase in his local raw material procurement activity Have latest updates on the market trend in polymer and other imports which are sensitive to market fluctuations Forecast price fluctuation and take proactive action on procurement of critical raw material. Take full advantage of any favorable market situation and do advance booking of critical high value raw material Should be Conversant with import procedures, customs logistics. Should be well versed with SAP ERP, Excel, Word, PP etc. Exposure to the QMS, customer audit requirements expectations and comply with all the policies and procedures pertaining to those requirements. Ensure the departmental Policies and processes are aligned / updated with the changing customer requirements pertaining to EHS, Quality, Products, Material, People Sustainable development Initiatives etc Work in tandem with our US operations and help them reduce their procurement costs. Store Warehouse Should work with Stores on following Inventory control / management of bulk RM Rubber Chemical Set Min Max norms in consultation with PPC Material storage Shortages Requirements based on Production plan. Liquidate nonmoving raw materials Others: Cost reduction MIS for raw material and imports Scrap Sale / disposal Keep a lookout for all avenues for cost savings Other purchases activities for city office and head office requirements. Have control on daily activities in department like document control. IISO: Implementation of ISO Standards.
