Job Description

  • The Healthcare Business Analyst works under the supervision of the Manager of Business Strategy/Operations.
  • The Healthcare Business Analyst is responsible for supporting the Healthcare Billing/Revenue Cycle/Rx/Claims, EMR, Patient Enrollment Programs by performing analyses in relation to the financial performance of government and managed care programs, contracts and proposals, as well as providing recommendations for revenue enhancements.
  • This position will also contribute to the annual operating budget process and provide support for financial analyses.
  • Bachelor s degree in Business or Finance. Working knowledge of hospital payment methodology.
  • Excellent analytical and Excel spreadsheet skills.
  • Healthcare Business Analyst with main skills: HIPAA, HL7, Payer/Payee, Health Insurance, Claims, EDI, XML, Healthcare Billing/Revenue Cycle, Electronic Medical Records(EMR), Visio, MS Office, JIRA, Process Modeling/Diagrams, UML, Use Cases, Agile/Scrum, Sprint Planning, User Stories, Product Backlog.
  • 2-3 years commensurate healthcare operations/hospital operations, reimbursement experience.
  • Familiarity with federal and state regulatory guidelines affecting hospital reimbursement.
  • Knowledge of/experience working with managed care contracts.
  • Experience in cost accounting, financial analysis preferred.
  • Excellent oral and written communication skills.
  • Excellent communication and organization skills.
  • Ability to manage multiple ongoing projects.
  • Strong analytical skills.
  • Strong computer skills, including Microsoft Office suite.
  • Proficient in Microsoft Excel and PowerPoint.
