Job Description

    In this role, the CFD Engineer will be primarily responsible for providing analysis support for Driveline system/Gearbox system level lubrication study including flow through subsystems like differentials, heat exchanger. This role will function as a global support for driveline engineering within Power Drive System. Can be counted on to complete advanced, complex assignments requiring full use and application of engineering tools, processes, and methods. The person in this role must also demonstrate characteristics which foster team progress, show diligence in daily tasks, is able to collaborate with team members, takes the initiative to take on challenging assignments, and has the will and ability to create opportunities.Key Accountabilities:Perform CFD analysis on driveline components/electric drive modules to support current production and new programs globally for PDS.Provide feedback from analysis results to drive design changes for system optimizationPerform efficiency and power loss calculations using CFD tools for Driveline SystemPerform heat-conjugate analysis using CFD tools for providing temperature distribution of the SystemSupport analysis work for pump and lubrication system developmentInterpret customer efficiency requirements and propose design options to meet requirementsDevelop and publish best practices for Gearbox lubrication analysis using CFD toolsPerform model/test correlation an update analysis process as neededDevelop new design tools to improve predictive engineering capabilitiesWrite reports to summarize CAE projectsGive presentations to internal and external customersRequirements & Qualifications:MTech/ME in Mechanical Engg preferably with focus on CFDProficiency in CFD and Thermal analysis using ANSYS Fluent/CFXGood technical understanding of Gearbox systems and driveline components3+ years of working experience performing CFD analysis on Gearboxes for lubrication and temperature distributionWorking experience with SPH solvers like Altair Nano-Fluidx preferredAbility to take initiative and work independently on projects with timely completion of project targetsAbility to work with global teams, manage workload and provide design supportExcellent people skills and history of teamwork requiredExcellent oral and written communication skills required,
