The Controls and Feature Owner will be responsible to developalgorithms for EV and HEV solutions. The Systems Design and Development teamsupport variety of global programs collaborating with United States, Europe and Asianregions.Responsibilities Work with Systems Engineering and Application Engineering to investigatevehicle systems controls issues Develop optimized electric machine controls algorithms and techniques utilizingbalanced requirements to meet schedule, technical and cost constraints Perform the desk top computer modeling, simulation and optimization ofelectric machine controls Ensure adherence to BW process of Controls development & ConfigurationManagement process Interact with other Systems engineering and software teams on verification &validation activities of the developed algorithms. Apply algorithms to customer projects and summarize results. Present results internally and to customers.Basic Qualifications Bachelors/Masters Degree in Electrical/Electronics Engineering. 2 - 6 years of experience in Controls Algorithms development for EV/HEVPowertrain domain In depth understanding of features & functionality of eDrive & xEV propulsionsystems Strong knowledge on Motor Controls algorithms and Power Electronics domain Expert level experience in Simulink, Stateflow and state-space models. Experience in configuration management tools. Excellent communication skills and drive for results. Good team player and collaborator. Ability to contribute to Innovation and Intellectual Property of BorgWarner.Preferred Experience P.hd in Engineering or Science. Automotive vehicle-level experience. Working experience with ASPICE Process.
