Job Description

.Deliverables and Responsibilities

  • Own the end-to-end data quality, from initial system intake of the data to the visualizations being shown on a report.
  • Develop formal data audit processes and carry out the daily data auditing tasks outlined in these processes.
  • Partner with appropriate organizations (e.g., IT, Tech Stack) to build out a governance plan that includes documented policies, procedures, and processes.
  • Provide ongoing communications, both written and verbal, to help enforce governance and manage change.
  • Provide content for training on new governance plan; conduct end user training and train the trainer workshops.
  • Provide support for quality control, unit and system testing, and troubleshooting.
Whom You Will Work WithAs a member of the Data and Reporting Team within the Growth Marketing Insights and Analytics Organization, you will ensure the highest data quality to enable the Strategic Insights and Marketing Optimization functions to accurately develop actionable insights. You will also partner with other Marketing and Sales organizations to put in place appropriate governance.Who You AreThe ideal candidate should be customer centric, business and data oriented, strict about data stewardship and governance, and eager to drive improvements to Cisco s marketing data and reporting.Experience and Skills
  • Solid understanding of data and reporting platforms and processes.
  • Great teammate, open minded, strict and patient while at the same time be able to proactively persuade others to consensus or take actions, takes ownership, is a learner, and does not hesitate to provide interpersonal support as needed.
  • Top notch quantitative and qualitative analytical skills; tenacious problem solver with excellent attention to detail and strong eye for business.
  • Comfortable with taking an ambiguous problem, developing a governance plan, and implementing the plan.
  • Excellent communicator who is able to engage various partners to embrace proposed ideas.
  • Ability to develop actionable plans from data in order to influence business decisions.
  • Can take ownership of a project end-to-end.
  • Able to manage multiple projects in a fast-paced, due date driven environment
  • Experience with data quality and data governance standard methodologies.
  • Platforms and Tools: solid understanding of data warehousing structures and SQL, particularly in Snowflake; excellent Excel and PowerPoint skills; experience with visualization tools like Domo and Tableau.
