Job Description

What will you do

  • Responsible for evaluating and testing big data solutions for data engineering projects
  • Support the business and management with clear, relevant and insightful analyses on the data at hand
  • Work with data engineering team and consultant s day in and day out to achieve the project goals on Quality Check analysis outputs (data validation checkpoints, data pipelines, etc.)
  • Implement application lifecycle management including, requirements management, test planning and execution, defects tracking and reporting, test automation and results analysis.
  • Develop test plan and test strategy for ThermoFisher Enterprise applications
  • Experience working in an Agile/Scrum development process
  • Education
  • Masters degree in computer science engineering from an accredited university (desired not required)
  • Bachelor s degree with major in computer science engineering (or equivalent) from an accredited university (preferred) will substitute for minimum 8-10 years professional IT experience.
  • Experience
  • Strong real-life experience in database, generating complex SQL queries, query optimization, debugging, user defined functions, views etc.
  • Strong Experience in Database Management System (DBMS) like Oracle, Amazon Redshift and MS SQL Server
  • Robust experience in Manual ETL Testing methodologies
  • Microsoft PBI, Analytics Dashboard Testing Experience
  • Experience in Python and common Python libraries
  • Salesforce Sales module basics
  • Strong experience with source control systems such as Git, Jenkins build and continuous integration tools (CI/CD)
  • Working knowledge in test management tool like Jira and HP ALM
Good to have Skills
  • Work experience in Databricks and PySpark
  • Experience in Oracle Eloqua Custom Data Objects (CDO)
  • Experience on CI/CD tools and model
  • Experience in Tricentis Tosca Automation tool with Data Integrity module
Non-technical Qualifications
  • Highly self-driven, execution-focused, with a willingness to do what it takes to deliver results as you will be expected to rapidly cover a considerable amount of demands on data integration
  • Understanding of Testing methodology and actual experience writing functional and regression test design specifications.
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills, in person, by telephone, and with large teams.
  • Must be able to work cross-functionally. Above all else, must be equal parts data-driven and results-driven.
