As an engineer in Detail Page team, you will be building the next generation architecture in our quest to reduce website latency by 50%. You will work across a spectrum of software components (from CDNs, reverse proxies, web servers, data APIs, data stores and browsers) in leading performance improvements taking advantage of modern technologies. You will also improve scalability and efficiency by improving throughput of our services and rendering fleets. Your goal would to make our product pages to be the fastest in the world.     • 1+ years of experience in software development
    • Programming experience with at least one software programming language.
    * Programming experience with at least one modern language such as Java, C++, or C# including object-oriented design* 1+ years of experience building successful production software systems * A solid grounding in Computer Science fundamentals (based on a BS or MS in CS or related field) * The ability to take raw product requirements and develop software architectures and designs to bring them to life * Experience defining system architectures and exploring technical feasibility tradeoffs * Experience developing web services and an understanding of design for scalability, performance and reliability * Mastery of the tools of the trade, including a variety of modern programming languages (Java, C/C++, Perl/Ruby) and technologies (Hadoop, Spring, AWS services such as DynamoDB, S3, SWF) * Excellence in technical communication with peers and non-technical cohorts Demonstrated ability to mentor other software developers to maintain architectural vision and software quality* Demonstrated ability to mentor/help other software developers Masters degree in Computer Science 2+ years of software engineering experience Proficiency in object-oriented design Strong coding ability using Java Strong problem solving and analytical abilities. Understanding of Software Engineering processes and best practices.
