Job Description

THE ROLEAs DevOps Engineer, you will

    • Be responsible for the effective and efficient delivery of services / applications in Cloud and to ensure the delivery as per defined Service Level Agreements.
    • Drive collaboration among different disciplines (Development, Product Management, etc.) in automating, maintaining, and optimizing the deployment process
    • Deploy scalable, high availability, resilient applications in the cloud (e.g. Cloud Foundry, Docker, AWS)
    • Implement monitoring, alerting, scaling, failover mechanisms
    • Efficiently automate cloud operations (infrastructure-as-code)
    • Recommend appropriate automation and testing tools. Drive automation in all areas of build, test, and deployment. Setup test administration in test administration systems
    • Build, release, and manage software. Design, implement and administer Build and Deployment infrastructure
    • Build and maintain Continuous Delivery and Integration pipelines
    • Coach and provide training to developers on the development infrastructure which includes development tooling (e.g. Eclipse, Git, Fortify)
    • Participate as a member of the Agile team
    • Assess and make recommendations to improve development and operations collaboration. This includes processes, technologies, and practices
    • Troubleshoot production environment issues
    • Working as a fully contributing team member with independent planning & execution responsibilities
    • Building upon domain knowledge and technical/proprietary skills to reach levels of expertise.
ROLE REQUIREMENTS
    • Five to Seven years of experience in building software products / components
    • Bachelor of Engineering/Technology (BE/BTech), in Computer Science or allied branches, or master s in computer applications
    • Strong technical foundation in build, release, and operations
    • Experience in working with SAP Cloud Platform, Cloud Foundry, AWS, Docker, Microsoft Azure
    • Designing and supporting robust build, deployment and configuration management systems for multi-tier JEE applications
    • Experienced in working on a complex multi-platform JEE application
    • Experience in administering application servers, servlet containers, and web servers (e.g. Apache TomEE, SAP NetWeaver)
    • Working experience with databases such as HANA, Oracle, Microsoft SQL Server, IBM DB2, MySQL.
    • Experience with database operations
    • Strong knowledge of Linux and/or Windows
    • Experience with Agile Software Engineering methodology and continuous integration principles
    • Security-Fortify, SonarQube, White source and FOSS-VULAS
    • Experience with unit testing and automated testing tools
    • Working knowledge of Atlassian JIRA, Jenkins, Git, Gerrit, Selenium, or similar tools
    • Hands-on experience on continuous integration and build tools like Jenkins
    • Familiarity with infrastructure automation tools such as Chef or Puppet
    • Strong shell scripting skills
    • Experience in jQuery, OData, Spring, JEE, JDBC, XML is an advantage
    • Development experience with Java, C# or C++, ABAP is an advantage
