Job Description

BA, Shell Script Developer In this role, you will be responsible to maintain, enhance and improve existing campaign management system and develop augmented system for automated tracking and monitoring of operational workflows. You will also be responsible to collaborate with internal and external stakeholders to understand requirements and gaps and also with multiple teams to maintain a robust IT infrastructure.Responsibilities

  • Work with clients and internal stakeholders to understand business and functional requirement
  • Develop technical design from functional specifications and do impact analysis for given functional and technical design
  • Optimize designs and schedules to deal with variation in data source, layout, volume, speed and complexity
  • Evaluate requirements and scope, and come up with High Level and Low Level Design and Estimate
  • Develop and Review codes for new process setup and/or enhancement to existing processes
  • Create test plan with all probable scenarios and cases
  • Perform unit testing, integration testing and system testing
  • Debug existing code, identify the logic and apply changes if any to inbuilt ETL (Extraction-Transform-Load) tool developed on Linux and to data processing engine developed on Oracle
  • Ensure appropriate standards and procedures are adhered to during the development process to support a quality deliverable
  • Ensure version control of codes when moving changes from test environment to production environment
  • Create risk mitigation plan and communication plan
  • Work with multiple teams like DBAs, IT Infrastructure, Information Security to ensure robust and smooth functioning of systems and applications developed
  • Design, create and make changes to data structure and schemas
  • Create excel reports with and without multiple tabs and conditional formatting
  • Create logs and establish connections, do file transfer, export/import files, zip/unzip files, draft and/or send emails with or without attachments
  • Come up with operation improvement and/or automation ideas and drive such projects to closure
  • Identify opportunities for standardizing and automating check posts, audit reports, repetitive enquiries and tasks
  • Respond to customer queries by looking into data - Perform root cause analysis by deep diving into current and historical data
  • Provide support for data extraction combining different tables using different aggregation and analytic functions
Qualifications Minimum qualifications
  • Degree in B.E., B.Tech., or M.C.A
  • Expertise in developing tools, systems and applications using Oracle PL/SQL and Unix/Linux Shell scripts in field Campaign management and/or Direct marketing
  • Knowledge of RDBMS and database schemas and concepts like Normalization and De-normalization, OLTP and OLAP and different types of keys and indexes
  • Hands on experience in Oracle PL/SQL utilities, packages, procedures, triggers, indexes
  • Hands on experience in scheduling and deployment of Unix/Linux jobs
  • Hands on experience on tools like PuTTY and Crontab
  • Should be ready for both development and production support projects

  • Effective probing skills and analyzing / understanding skills
  • Problem solving skills with customer centric approach and attention to detail
  • Demonstrated proficiency in both written and oral communication with customers
  • Strong work ethic, with the ability to work well both independently and within the context of a larger team-oriented environment
  • Self-initiated and motivated
  • Understanding of Agile and DevOps delivery model
  • Good presentation skills
  • Experience in installation and working with PHP will be an added advantage
