level description:He /she reviews the design & architecture from DFM , Component technology used , EOL etc .During NPI s he/she should provide all technical support required for Proto builds and ensure cost/Quality targets are metDuring sustenance, need to manage change management activities & also need to work towards meeting factory and field Quality metrics.Value Engineering activities to be driven to improve the cost margins.Supply chain continuity & Resiliency support Skills required :Very good understanding on electronic product design and architecture.Good understanding of Hardware interfaces High speed serial interfaces , PCIE , Ethernet , SATA , I2C etc Knowledge of PCB design, Stack ups and Allegro . Knowledge of Valor and DFM is a Plus . Knowledge of PCBA Manufacturing, System Build and NPI process Knowledge of Product development process from concept to launch phase. Expected to have good driving capability to work with cross-functional Teams and drive the deliverables to closure.Perform New product and Sustaining engineering DFx: DFM, DFR, DFSC, DFT Value engineering (component selection, process efficiency, and design changes) BOM structuring and BOM risk Management. Design tool proficiency (DFx, schematic, CAD, other CAE tools) Cost avoidance (pre-A0) and sustaining cost reduction Design lab experimentation / debug (proficiency continuum) / DOE /EFA Technical lifecycle management (defect reduction team participation, new component qualification, etc)Assessing CM and supply chain technical capability gaps Knowledge and application of industry innovations / trends to product or program Creating, analyzing, and releasing product documentation Manufacturing (Process), FMEA Design FMEA Design diagnostic analysis and input / influence Leadership and direction of complex issue resolutionWhy CiscoThe Internet of Everything is a phenomenon driving new opportunities for Cisco and its transforming our customers businesses worldwide.
