Baxter s employees worldwideare building upon the company s rich heritage of medical breakthroughs to advance the next generation of healthcareinnovations that enable patient care.Job Summary Job Title Engineer II, Mechanical (Acute Disposables)Location Whitefield, Bangalore Shift General Position Overview You will be supporting the team responsible for developing creative solutions to challenging issues associated with the design, development, and sustaining engineering for our existing Disposable subsystems of dialysis product portfolio. The successful candidate will possess solid hands-on technical abilities, an excitement and energy for product development, and a passion for their work and the impact it has on meeting the needs of patients.Essential duties and responsibilities:

  • Supports the R&D development and sustenance activities to execute global cross functional projects relating to Acute Therapies Disposables.
  • Should have good understanding of principles of mechanics, thermodynamics, hydraulics, heat transfer, and materials to support development and sustenance activities of mechanical and Fluid flow systems involving injection molded components and soft tubing.
  • Will work with senior members/SME of the team to carry out root cause analyses in case of product failures with minimal supervision
  • Will be responsible for project management activities which includes managing change controls tasks using Baxter s in-house quality systems like TW8, TcU.
  • Will work with senior members/SME of the team for writing of verification/validation test, test cases and documenting results in the form of technical reports
  • The role would involve preparing and presenting technical work and deliverables to the global project team(s) in a well-planned manner with a clear flow of contents.
  • Will be able to leverage own expertise as well as inputs from others to identify and resolve critical issues
  • Able to design Plastic components with inputs from senior team member/SME.
  • Will support in-depth mechanical engineering analysis/Reliability testing and calculations.
Qualifications & Skills
  • A graduate or a postgraduate in Mechanical or related engineering and 2 ~ 6 years related experience.
  • A demonstrated track record in Plastic component design and development in a highly regulated product domain such as Medical/aerospace/automotive/defense industries.
  • A proven track record of effectiveness in a fast-paced environment.
  • Clear and effective communication (written, oral) and presentation skills.
  • Good stakeholder management (local and global).
  • Good computer skills: email, documentation, and collaboration tools: e.g. WebEx, Teams, Microsoft Office products, etc.
  • Good hands-on CAD & drafting experience [Solidworks/AutoCAD]
  • Self-directed, resourceful, and able to work on multiple projects and priorities.
  • Strong organization, attention to detail, and documentation skills.
  • Proven ability to create results within budget, timeline, and product/project deliverables.
