Senior Principal Engineering Technologist Big Data TechnologiesJoin us as a Senior Principal Engineer for Big Data Technologies in Bangalore on our Unstructured Data Storage, UDS Solutions team in India to do the best work of your career and make a profound social impact. What you ll achieve From Data Analytics to Media & Entertainment, the UDS Technical Solutions team has the expertise throughout industry verticals to shape ground-breaking products for our customers. We re involved in assessing the competition, developing customer-facing collateral, and creating technical exposure for our UDS product portfolio. Our insights influence product architecture, define use cases, and develop solutions to ensure our products always lead the way.You will:The Senior Principal Engineering Technologist for Big Data will be part of a collaborative technical team working together with business development and sales teams to gather partner and customer inputs. This information will be applied to many different aspects of the role including:
• Development of plans and strategy toward new and existing big data technologies and solutions
• Act as subject matter experts to identify key technical concepts to communicate and determines the best way to package the technical information to a technical-savvy internal/external audience
• Develops compelling technical arguments for customers to consider engaging Dell in addressing their Business/IT needs
• Conducts competitive analysis and research to determine appropriate positioning of technical features and capabilities
• Apply technical expertise and industry experience to formulate and develop technical content, proof concepts, third- party analyst benchmarks and whitepapers that span full product portfolio

• Deep technical knowledge of big data systems and technologies and the market trends
• 3-5 years of hands on experience architecting and designing big data systems
• Strong understanding of HDFS and distributed file systems
• Strong skills in python and similar development languages
• Experience working with Apache Kafka, Spark API and equivalent data streaming technologies
Desirable Requirements
• Experience working on Hadoop and Cloudera systems
• Hands on expertise installing and managing server and storage infrastructures
