It may not be for every role, and, as part of the recruitment process, you ll have the chance to discuss smart working and how it might work for the job you are applying for.About this roleThe purpose of the Global Network Planning Professional role is to implement planning rules at device/network level either directly or through a team of Associate Network Planners to ensure sufficient Global network capacity is in place to meet forecast demand to deliver business objectives to time, cost and quality.Youll have the following responsibilities

  • Provides sound technical expertise to deliver timely response to queries, identifying and mitigating operational risks as appropriate.
  • Full contribution to development of guidelines and policies to manage network planning.
  • Provides support and advice to deliver operational activities, using sound technical capabilities to deliver relevant plans while ensuring adherence to standards.
  • Delivers high-impact operational activities, monitoring performance and ensuring feedback is inputted to the management process.
  • Develops effective working relationships with internal and external stakeholders to explore opportunities for partnership, acting as the point of escalation for issue resolution.
  • Uses technical expertise to propose planning processes, including the development and proof of concept, engagement of front door and process validation.
  • Seeks continuous improvement and efficiency opportunities in order to automate, centralise, standardise and simplify processes, contributing to the delivery of improvement projects and initiatives.
  • Handles routine legal matters and provides advice within an established framework.
  • Responsible for delivery of complex or undefined plans to provide effective network capacity.
  • Provides legal support to members of the Legal team including conducting research and undertaking projects under the guidance of more senior legal professionals.
  • May represent the company in legal proceedings.
  • Accountable for the delivery and evaluation of plans in terms of design, resource and budget constraints.
Youll have the following skills & experience

  • Case management - You balance and prioritise your workload and cases efficiently with minimal supervision, supporting other team members to prioritise their work. You make informed judgments about business impact, value and other relevant factors.
  • Storytelling - You articulate strategies, concepts and/ or data using a simple, compelling and coherent narrative. You consider the needs and comprehension level of your audience to determine the most appropriate tools and methods to tell an effective story.
  • Drafting - You apply knowledge to interpret and draft reports and documentation. You follow processes to gather and consolidate information for the business in an accurate and concise way
  • Legal and Co Sec excellence - You develop and apply your knowledge of local and international law and / or corporate governance issues relating to our business. You manage routine legal and Co Sec issues and provide commercial advice.
  • Engineering excellence - You use advanced knowledge of engineering so that you or your team can safely build, monitor, upgrade and repair networks, services, infrastructure and products. You contribute to a zero harm culture.
  • Systems thinking - You work across teams to identify links between structure, people, process and technology to make sure we succeed. You know when to look at the big picture and gather new perspectives
  • Product and service knowledge - You continuously build your understanding of infrastructure, products, services and complex offerings. You share knowledge with your team and tailor solutions to meet the unique needs of the customer.
  • Operational excellence - You identify what resources will be required to deliver operational activities. You organise the right resources to maximise operational performance and add value, escalating requirements in non-standard situations to maintain exceptional results and service.
  • Testing and quality assurance - You perform rigorous, complex testing and inspections to evaluate quality and performance. You discuss the results with your team.
  • Be agile - You use your knowledge of best practice to collaborate with peers across the business in different ways.
