Position: Payroll Specialist / Senior Payroll and Statutory Specialist Exp required: 4- 6 yrsJob Location: BangaloreCompany headquarters: Folsom, CA, USA The Payroll Specialist / Senior Payroll and Statutory Specialist is responsible for complete and end to end payroll process (third- party payroll) which includes statutory compliance and administration of reports. The Payroll Specialist / Senior Payroll and Statutory Specialist is also responsible for interfacing mainly with the Finance department and several different functional groups across the organization. This position may require regular travel to other PowerSchool sites or locations in Bangalore. Duties and responsibilitiesEssential duties and responsibilitiesHandles the payroll process for 500+ employees, which may include coordination with the third- party payroll vendor. Communicates and coordinates with the Finance department and several different functional groups across the organization for multiple payroll input and output requirements. Maintaining incoming employee data for new hires, maintaining personnel records, files, and updates. Boasts a wide knowledge of Statutory compliance provident fund, professional tax, income tax, and tax exemptions. Maintains human resource information system records, updates system with personnel changes, and compiles weekly reports from the database.handles the off- boarding employees for their full and final settlements as needed, including notifying stakeholders of departing employees. responsible for the evaluation of payroll and statutory compliance reports, decisions and results of the department about established goals. Participates in developing department goals, objectives, and systems. Monitors the performance evaluation program and revises as necessary.Coordinating with other Talent verticals on a timely basis. Other HR duties as assigned.Experience with Compensation Ranges and Benefits desired.Previous experience with IBM s Cognos Analytics or other Business Intelligence Software desired.Skills/ RequirementsQualifications Include:4 - 6 years of Payroll, statuary, and compliances.Bachelors degree required.Excellent organizational skills.Experience in TDS Calculation, F & F settlements & PF and ESIC related quires.Excellent verbal and written communication and interpersonal skills, as well as solid follow through abilities.Must be able to work independently as well as a part of the larger Human Resources department.Must be able to maintain confidentiality.Ability to effectively manage multiple priorities.Ability to collaborate with team members as needed.Professional Human Resources Certification preferred.intermediate Excel skills (Vlookups, pivot tables) and proficiency with Microsoft Office Suite (Excel, Word, PowerPoint, etc.).Customer/ Client Focus.Ethical Conduct.Personal Effectiveness/ Credibility.Understanding of human resource reporting and record- keeping requirements.,
