Let s start the conversation.Position Title: Human Resources ManagerPosition Summary: The HR Manager is primarily responsible for successfully executing HR activities for the 90+ employee population at the Garrett Indiana plant site as well as support for remote workers, Global and US HR policy and procedure design. This role will be critical to Garrett s site leadership team and US HR team. Responsibilities include the excellent performance of HR processes and activities by collaborating with location management, HR managers, and HR business partners to support the achievement of business goals. Model behaviors that align with Momentive s Core Values (Safety & Sustainability, Customer-Centricity, Our People, Innovation, and Integrity) and coach/influence others to do the same, especially leaders and managers. Other responsibilities include multiple aspects of the employee lifecycle, including, but not limited to: recruiting, employee relations, training, and development, performance management, compensation, pension, benefits, etc. Utilize knowledge of local divisional/functional business objectives and functional HR knowledge and expertise to support the plant leadership team and functional managers on HR-related issues, including policies, processes, programs, etc., to help meet local business goals and objectives in a compliant and collaborative manner. Provide support to the VP, Global Field HR as necessary.This role is critical to partnering, coaching, advising, and developing leaders, supervisors, and front-line leaders to manage effectively. The engagement of employees is critical for success. Ability to provide executive summary presentations essential. Regularly required to sit; talk and hear, use hands to type, handle or feel. The employee is frequently required to reach with hands and arms. Visual acuity to use a keyboard, prepare and analyze data and figures; transcribing, viewing a computer terminal; extensive reading. May require ordinary ambulatory skills sufficient to visit other locations; or the ability to stand, walk, lift, carry and move light to medium weight. Requires good hand-eye coordination, arm, hand, and finger dexterity, including the ability to grasp, and visual acuity to use a keyboard, operate equipment and learn technical information. Light lifting is required. The environment for this position is an office setting. Reasonable accommodations may be made to enable individuals with disabilities to perform the essential functions.Additional Details:Minimum Qualifications:

  • 5 years HR experience including recruitment and HR policy management.
  • 3-5 years experience in a manufacturing environment
  • Bachelor s degree in human resources, labor relations, or a related discipline.
  • Proficiency with Microsoft Office Suite.
  • Knowledge of state and federal labor laws especially, the NLRA, preferred.
  • Strong influencing skills.
  • Excellent verbal & written communication skills.
  • Capable of multi-tasking and managing competing priorities.
