Job Description

    As a member of the CIB Client Technology Research Distribution team, you will work on a variety of interesting and challenging projects that are directly client facing. Our area is concerned with the near real-time delivery of research content articles and publications to thousands of subscribing clients. The position offers an exciting opportunity to help contribute to the next generation of our digital distribution platform as we migrate away from our existing solution.You will be joining a highly motivated and quality focused development team which operates using agile practices. The team is self empowered to make continuous technical and process improvements. We are looking for a like-minded candidate who is willing to participate and take the initiative to propose new patterns and improvements the team will adopt.The immediate vacancy is for a full stack Java Spring Boot developer who will contribute to the public facing research publication website. The website is powered by Adobe Experience Manager (AEM), an enterprise level digital asset management and content management platform. You will work directly with our UX design teams and business analysts to bring to life their vision for the website. You will initially be involved in building out Spring Boot RESTFul API services, React client side components, AEM data models and integrations.Required Technical Knowledge;
    • Proven experience in Java 8 (and above), Spring Boot Framework.
    • Web Services, Micro-services (RESTful), Hibernate or alternative ORM.
    • Knowledge of a leading front end web development framework such as React, Angular, Vue or Svelte.
    • Exposure to Cloud native software development practices.
    • Proficiency in building responsive web applications using HTML5, CSS3, SASS / LESS.
    • Experience with web testing frameworks such as Cypress and Jest.
    Advantageous Technical Knowledge;
    • Hands-on experience working with Typescript and React to build complex web applications.
    • Content Management System website development experience.
    • GraphQL based API development.
    • Experience of JavaScript toolchain technologies such as Webpack and ESLint.
    • Experience of building web applications using state management technologies such as Redux.
    • Demonstrable Jenkins CI / CD pipeline development and maintenance experience.
    Role and Responsibilities;
    • Design, code, test, deliver and support cloud native API services that deliver content to our front end website experience.
    • Develop user facing experiences using React to build UI components and micro front-ends.
    • Build Java based content and configuration packages that will be deployed into the AEM web platform.
    • Contribute towards and maintain the Jules / Jenkins delivery pipeline for our components and services.
    • Active participation in our teams agile process and ceremonies, working closely with your peers to ensure that we remain focused on continual improvement.
    • Participate in peer reviews, offering positive feedback and constructive suggestions.
    • Align with the firm s standards and guidelines to ensure our systems are stable, scalable, secure and protected.
    • Experiment with emerging technologies and frameworks, promoting your investigations during regular knowledge sharing sessions.
    • Assist in technical investigations, supporting our application in each environment, coordinating with other team members to propose resolutions where required.
