Technology and Operations Risk s mission is to deliver first-line defenses to manage Cyber and Fraud risks to Morgan Stanley s technology, operations and information through risk identification, control management and assurance. The Service Management global team is responsible for the functions of PA Supervision, Problem and Incident Management, Change Management, Event Management, Hygiene and Content Management and Vendor Management for ESP. The Technical writer will report into the Hygiene and Content Management lead and work with ESP Service Management, ESP Fleet Leads, ESP Product Owners, ESP Delivery Leads and ESP Squad members to maintain our internal and external websites and documentation to ensure that our processes and procedures remain up-to-date and user-friendly for our Partners and Clients, alike.Job profileThis role is to be part of the Service Management Chapter of Enterprise Security Platforms (ESP), within the TECHNOLOGY & OPERATIONS RISK. ESP is responsible for the engineering and operations of Morgan Stanley s security infrastructure globally. Responsibilities Create, review, and improve complex documentation, forms, diagrams, and presentations for various phases of the Documentation Lifecycle for the Enterprise Security Platforms Department. Composing clear and coherent technical information on the IT Security Infrastructure processes and procedures. Standardize and centralize the internal and external documentation and implement/maintain an ongoing validation processPerform a bridge function between our technical and our business staffAct as a liaison between our technical Subject Matter Experts and non-ESP business unitsStandardize, centralize, and manage procedural documentations that technical SMEs create for Operations Level 1 and Level 2 team membersDevelop, maintain, and report on documentation metrics, *Skill Set4 to 10 years of experience as a technical writer or in developing IT related documentationProven experience in improving, reviewing, and editing existing IT documents for accuracy and completeness and writing high quality technical documents for IT specialistsExperience writing easy-to-understand, user interface, online help guides and procedural documents and strong attention to detailExcellent in both oral and written English, business writing skills requiredExperience with MS Office Suite (Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Visio)Knowledgeable of at least one markup language (ex. html)Familiarity with communication and work management platforms - Twiki, Jive, SharePoint, and Jira - is a plusFamiliarity with ITIL is a plusComfortable of working as an integral member of a global organization with team members, stakeholders, upper management, and clients in different regions across Asia, EMEA and North America Open-minded, Independent problem-solving and highly motivated team player.
