Job Description

  • Support the independent review of Credit portfolio stress testing including Wholesale, Retail, Counterparty, Private Banking and Structured Finance.
  • Review end-to-end stress testing processes including methodologies, assumptions, models, judgmental overlays and documentation and form opinions on the intuitiveness of stress testing results.
  • Actively participate in the judgemental quantification of hard to quantify stress projections, performing research and providing justification for conclusions.
  • Build strong relationships with key stakeholders in the enterprise stress testing process.
  • Keep up to date on regulatory requirements and ensure that regulator s feedback is being addressed.
  • Participate in projects on an ad hoc basis.
Our Ideal CandidateAt a minimum, the candidate should have:
  • Prior experience in credit risk related role (either retail or wholesale).
  • An understanding of IFRS 9 and IRB frameworks.
  • An interest in other aspects (beyond credit risk) of the end-to-end stress testing process.
  • A degree in a quantitative discipline (e.g. Finance, Statistics, Engineering, Economics, Business, Accounting).
  • Good interpersonal & oral communication skills and a team player.
  • An ability to write clearly and concisely.
  • Flexibility and openness to new challenges.
  • Prior involvement ICAAP stress test, recovery plan, Pillar 2A.
Additional experience/skills that would be beneficial:
  • Exposure to model development process, model use and model risk management.
  • Programming skills (especially SAS) & handling large datasets.
  • Both retail and wholesale credit risk.
  • Applying regulatory requirements and familiarity with regulatory documents.
  • Drafting policies/standards.
  • Exposure to or interest in climate risk initiatives and stress tests.
