Job Description

    Execute solution for inquiries of Diesel Electric & Diesel Hydraulic Locomotives, self-propelled rail vehicles, Battery locomotives, and other drives from marketing along with customer track layouts, the duty of operation, wagon load details and work out the required standard power pack. New Diesel Hydraulic & Electric locomotives to be designed & established with detailed designing of onboard & underslung locomotive layouts, main frame, bogie, and power train (including a selection of diesel engine, transmission system, axle drives, and drive shafts), pneumatic brake system including pneumatic circuit, mechanical system to operate brake cylinders, levers & brake shoes, draw gear & buffing gear selection and mounting with modular design concepts, vendor development for new items. Preparation of tentative list with a brief estimation of mechanical items to be provided for marketing/Estimation.Design of multiple control operation system, pneumatic & electro-pneumatic controls of locomotives.Preparation of various electro-mechanical layouts and interfacing between electrical and mechanical equipment, viz., Control Panels, High Voltage & Current power panels, Electro Pneumatic Control Box, Driver Control Station, Resistor boxes, etc., Assist in designing integral rail coaches & bogies.Completed design to be converted to 2D production drawings with appropriate material, components, standards, GD&T, and appropriate manufacturing notes/instructions / special treatments, etc, All the design & drafting shall be done by solid modeling software such as Solid Edge / UGNX, AutoCAD. New locomotive mainframes, bogies, and other structural components shall be analyzed and to be validated through FEA.
