Model Based Systems Engineering Thermal and Fluid Systems ModelingJob DescriptionBorgWarner Technical Center India Private Limited, a subsidiary of BorgWarner Inc. is looking for young and enthusiastic professionals in the areas of Thermal and Fluid systems modelling. The MBSE Thermal and Fluid Systems modeler is responsible for developing & maintaining Thermal and Fluid Systems Simulation Models for xEV propulsion systems. This includes system and vehicle plant model development, integration of control models, integration of pre- and post-processing scripts, model & data configuration management, processing & analysis of test data for use in simulation and model application to customer projects.Responsibilities:Lead the development of thermal and fluid simulation models for system models of electrified propulsion systems (xEV).Lead the integration of thermal and fluid system plant models, system control models and vehicle models for system simulations of electrified powertrains (xEV).Lead functional evaluation of Drive Unit Thermal and Fluid systems for xEVs.Assemble library of representative thermal and fluid system models and reference architecturesMaintain Configuration Management process for thermal and fluid simulation models, system, sub-system & component model parameters, and input & output data sets.Apply models to customer projects and summarize results. Identify areas for improvement.Process and analyze data sets from bench/lab/vehicle testing for model validation as needed.Present results internally and to customers.Basic Qualifications:Bachelors Degree in Mechanical Engineering.5 years of experience in thermal / fluids simulation, systems modeling, and controls.2 years of experience with hybrid / electric propulsion systems.Expert level experience in Simulink, Stateflow and state-space models.Expert level experience with MATLAB, MS Excel, TDMS and DAT file conversion.Experience with MATLAB plotting tools.Experience with CFD and FEA codes, conjugate heat transfer, model simplification.Experience in configuration management tools.Knowledge of efficient data file archive / retrieval / storage tools and processes.Preferred Experience:Master s Degree in Engineering or Science.Automotive vehicle-level experience.Skilled in 1D flow-thermal simulations, Heat transfer & Fluid DynamicsExperience with other simulation / modeling / analysis software (SimScape, GT Suite, Amesim, Ansys, Motor-CAD, Mathcad, MASTA, MESYS, SPICE, Altair suite).Proficiency in Co-Simulation tools.Proficient in C, M script, Python or similar programming languagesInternal Use Only: SalaryGlobal Terms of Use and Privacy StatementCarefully read the BorgWarner Privacy Policy before using this website.
