Job Description

* Position Purpose & Summary This position is responsible for delivering and managing the end-to-end services for the OSC CREATE Capability within OSC Portfolio of Global IT, ensuring services are provided and continuously improving. This role is responsible for designing, building, sustaining, pricing, and enhancing the service, including project delivery and cost recovery. This position will drive application standardization for the capability, and will collaborate with OSC Capability leadership, BOSC Research & Development, ERP Org to understand the business outcomes of the service, and with architects, technology brokers, and external service providers to understand the underlying technologies. This position will track service KPIs to drive ongoing improvements in Project delivery performance. This position will be responsible for setting and executing the strategic vision of the team, ensuring the team is delivering on its promises to the business, and creating a high performing environment through talent management and people leadership.This position will be the key contact with ERP / Regional teams in consuming the service as it relates to delivery of OSC CREATE application Services for the capability and will need to ensure a comprehensive understanding of the business needs. This position will partner with the OSC BOSC Research & Development Solution owner and Service delivery advisor on application planning and value realization activities; and with the Regional OSC Deployment Leads who focus on execution and delivery.This position will have responsibilities in the following areas:

  • Participates in developing the service strategy for the assigned applications.
  • Leadership of development and sustain activities for the OSC CREATE Capability.
  • Create an annual strategy to develop and enhance the Application services.
  • Understands IT service cost drivers and connects cost of service to consumption drivers
  • Reviews business requests for service enhancements and undertakes cost evaluation, standards reviews, and prioritization
  • Guides continuous improvement efforts for the capability driven Global Applications.
  • Collaborates with architects to discuss impact of new technologies and the architecture roadmap to project governance
  • Drives standardization (versus customization) across Capability.
  • Responsible for cross-Instance alignment with peer E2E Solution / Delivery owners.
  • Responsible for service descriptions for E2E Service Catalogue.
  • Responsible for partner relationship management (SAP/Cognizant/Cap Gemini)
  • Principal Accountabilities
50% Delivery and Solution Management
  • Accountable for adhering to the defined timeline, budget, quality, and documentation requirements for the projects and enhancements
  • Demand Management, SOW Management, Solution Delivery
  • Lead and incorporate industry best practices & drive consistency of approach, process, quality to bring benefits across the space
  • Change control, Risk Management, Transition planning, Customer satisfaction
  • Holding Partners accountable for DBT Deliverables, ensure continuous delivery is possible
  • Align with other Global/Regional teams to further drive for standardization and increase adoption
  • Collaborate with the ERP / Regional Deployment /other Global IT teams to drive application solution delivery
  • Lead culture of discipline and compliance and ensure adherence to a global standard process & development methods
  • Ensure software development fulfills requirements of the business and stated business case
  • Accountable for successful design, build and test and application development deliverables
  • Leverage Partners optimally to deliver effective Application Development
  • Ensure consistent processes in line with the sourcing governance model (Engagement model & Terms)
  • Maintain relationship with 3rd party providers
  • Ensure that the service providers perform to the SLAs documented in the contract
20% Capability Management
  • Work with OSC Solution Owner for the long term global strategy for the assigned global applications driving standardization & simplification
  • Responsible to ensure resource capability to cover the knowledge areas within the portfolio
  • Enable service lines to cater to business capabilities
  • Resource models contributing to Optimized Cost of Governance
  • Planning for future workforce needs
  • Provide thought leadership and solution management knowledge for Projects in this Area
  • Accountable for the integrity of the solution & enabling right level of governance
  • Lead and incorporate industry best practices for enhancements and User enablement
  • Ensure new functionality and capabiltities from innovation perspective are evaluated & Applied
  • Provide recommendations for advancing applications across the globe ensuring high user acceptance. and adoption, regulatory compliance, and alignment with business and function strategies.
20% People Leadership & Team Management
  • Administer/oversees general workforce administration policies and programs in the areas of communications, staffing, training, evaluations, disciplinary actions and safety.
  • Accountable for performance management, talent development, succession planning, coaching and engagement
  • Communicate key decisions, Cargill information and other enabling information to team
  • Lead and implements systems and processes to maintain a highly engaged workforce. Holds direct reports accountable for actively addressing engagement issues and identifies/leverages best practices in engagement. Ensure delivery of quality work product by team.

  • Partner with OSC Service Delivery Advisor to drive continuous improvement and operational excellence activities (enhancements & upgrades)
  • Responsible for continuous improvement while driving application solution delivery.
  • Ensure appropriate metrics are maintained, analyzed and acted
  • Risk, Issues, Project Status, Resource Utilization, etc
  • Report on work status of team as required
, * Education, Experience, SkillsRequired Qualifications
  • Bachelor s / Master degree in Business Administration, Engineering or Management Information Systems; OR equivalent experience
  • 10 to 15 years of IT and business / industry work experience, with at least 5 years of experience in managing a large distributed team.
  • 5 years experience managing SAP / Business applications including Project delivery, Service Delivery for applications viz., Selerant, DevX, Abbott StarLIMS, RIFFYN, Research Monitor, CD Strain.
  • 5 years of people management experience.
  • Demonstrated ability to lead Change Management efforts

  • Business fluency in English and local languages as defined
  • Ability to travel up to 20%
Preferred Qualifications
  • Master degree in Business Administration, Engineering or Management Information Systems; OR equivalent experience
  • Project management certification preferred
  • Experience in large Implementation Projects
