Job Title : Product Security EngineerLocation : Bangalore Join us as a Product Security Engineer on ourProduct Security Engineeringteam in Bangalore to do the best work of your career and make a profound social impact.What you ll achieveAs a Product Security Engineer, you will join Dell s Converged Infrastructure Cybersecurity team to help identify and resolve vulnerabilities in Dell hardware products. You will consult with engineering teams on security best practices, industry trends and common pitfalls; and you will communicate with security researchers, research organizations, vendors and coordination centers on issues relating to security vulnerabilities in Dell products and applications.Are you excited by the idea of understanding the root causes of security vulnerabilities to help secure future products and applications Do you enjoy working with the overall information security community and bringing that knowledge back to others Do you believe that Product Security isnt just interpreting scan results but building security into your development culture You will:Work with engineering teams to evaluate the impact of vulnerabilities to Dell products and applications, including technical severity and end-user impactConduct technical Root Cause Analysis on Dell vulnerabilities and help identify areas for further research, education, or testingApply Common Vulnerability Scoring System (CVSS) vectors to security vulnerabilities and map them to industry categories such as Common Weakness Enumeration (CWE) and OWASP Top 10Perform technical reviews of Security Advisories and other communications related to vulnerability disclosure and remediationTake the first step towards your dream careerEvery Dell Technologies team member brings something unique to the table.Essential Requirements:- Respond to and manage customer-impacting security vulnerability alert and findings.- Perform variant and root cause analysis to find systematic bugs.- Triage security defect-based issues, quantitatively evaluate risk and provide guidance to engineering teams regarding the impact of security issues using industry standard metrics such as CVSS- Investigate, track, and remediate open source vulnerabilities.- Track and report on remediation efforts.- Work with the Security Response documentation publishers to release Dell Technologies security alert.Desired Requirements :- Bachelor s degree with at least 7-8+ years of experience.- 3+ years of Technical Product Security related experience around Threat Modeling and Attack Surface Analysis, vulnerability management.- Proven track record of solving complex Product Security issues and protecting products using a risk-based approach.- Extensive knowledge of the current Product Security threat landscape and industry best practices.- Solid understanding of OWASP Top 10.- Understands common classes of product security vulnerabilities- Strong written and verbal communications skills to effectively collaborate with peers- Experience with VMware software and architecture models- Experience with Converged / Hyper Converged infrastructure systems- Knowledge of Dell, Cisco, EMC hardware systems- CI/CD DevSecOps experienceHere s our story; now tell us yoursDell Technologies helps organizations and individuals build a brighter digital tomorrow.
