Job summaryWW Pricing - Price PerceptionJob Description Program Manager (Analytics)Background:Amazon.com operates in a virtual, global e-commerce environment without boundaries, and operates a diverse set of businesses worldwide, including Retail, third party marketplaces, e-commerce platforms, web services for developers. Amazon s global price perception is how the population perceives Amazon s pricing compared to other retailers. Elements that make up customer price perception include the perceived; (1) competitiveness of the retailers pricing (i.e. who has the perceived lowest prices), (2) clarity of price information on the site, (3) the price vs quality of the products offered (i.e. the value), (4) the price the customer expects to pay for the product at a given retailer, and (5) how Amazon messages pricing in press and advertising.The Price Perception team is responsible for the metrics and programs that define customer price perception today. The team is responsible for driving new initiatives to deepen our understanding and measurement of price perception, as well as delivering projects that will improve Amazon s price perception overtime. Communicating findings to stakeholders and providing recommendations to business for improving business performance. Ensure that data and analysis is presented in a format that is appropriate for a varied audience using data visualization, dashboards, or other methods. Utilize strong database skills to work with large, complex data sets to extract insights. Filter and cleanse unstructured (or ambiguous) data into usable data sets that can be analyzed to extract insights and improve business processes. Drive process/system improvements basis ongoing trends/gaps identified Execute on assigned project components & drive low-medium impact projects him/her. Flexible to support critical business requirements and willingness to work outside of the standard work day. Carries out tactical issue based communications with internal Creates ad-hoc operational reports, status updates & proposals on a need basis, 2+ years experience in program or project managementRequired Skills, Experience and Preferred qualifications: Education and experience: Bachelors or Masters in a quantitative field (such as Engineering, Statistics, Math, Economics, or Computer Science with Modeling/Data Science), preferably with relevant work experience of over 6 years. A passion for helping organizations understand how to solve problems through analytics. Ability to manage simultaneous tasks in a fast-paced, technology-oriented environment. Prior project experience in one or more of the following areas are preferred, but not absolutely required.
