Job Description

We in Pointnext RnD are looking for a Scrum Master to lead scrum teams working on the Digital Customer Experience program. These teams are developing solutions to delight our customers by delivering a digital transformation through a simple, personalized, and integrated digital support and services experience on the channel of the customer s choice. In this role you will be working in the SAFe (Scaled Agile Framework) model and will need to work closely with product owners, architects, and other scrum masters against a common backlog to deliver the overall program functionality. The candidate has to have a Software Development background, display technical leadership and be in a position to contribute to design/development/test work in the teams. Needs to have strong experience in Agile Software Development Processes.The role involves Agile process implementation, coaching and Continuous Improvement as part of a development team and a wider Enterprise organization.Responsibilities:

  • Scrum Master for a team using Scrum, Agile Development Practices and SAFe (Scaled Agile Framework).
  • Responsible for making sure the team lives by the values and practices of Scrum (process owner/coach).
  • Display technical leadership and contribute to design/test work in the teams
  • Works with the team and the product owner to understand, estimate and refine the product backlog
  • Facilitate a conversation about the stories with the scrum team. Coach the team on how to estimate work. Prepare required outcomes for the planning session.
  • Plan team sprints, with the outcome being the sprint backlog, sprint goals, and a team commitment.
  • Runs process ceremonies, tracks and escalates impediments
  • Contributes to Continuous Improvement(Kaizen) of team level metrics, processes in team and wider organisation
  • Participates in regular demonstrations of new work to the product owners and business stakeholders
  • Coordinate dependencies across the various Scrum teams work tasks.
  • Removes impediments to progress to help the team perform at their highest level
  • Facilitates sprint retrospective and Continuous Improvement. Mentor on process and development practices
  • Act as teams interface to management
  • Help coach the team in the proper application of agile and mentor new team members who have not worked in an agile model in the past.
  • Team motivator - keeps team on track, productive and growing in ability
  • Provides domain-specific expertise and overall software systems leadership and perspective to cross-organization projects, programs, and activities.
  • Provides guidance and mentoring to less- experienced staff members.
Education and Experience Required:
  • Bachelors or Masters degree in Computer Science, Information Systems, or equivalent
  • Minimum 10+ years overall experience
  • 3+ years of relevant scrum management or project management in an agile environment
Knowledge and Skills:
  • Experience in the Scrum Master role and with Agile Scrum methodologies , preferably in a SAFe environment
  • Software Development experience
  • Exposure to CI/CD(Continuous Delivery) methodologies
  • Scrum master certification is a plus(SAFE-SM,CSM, PMI-ACP etc)
  • Strong time management skills.
  • Adaptability to change, must thrive in a fast-paced, time-compressed and dynamic environment
  • Strong coaching and mentoring skills
  • Strong verbal and written communication skills. Ability to communicate effectively to senior management, peers and team members
  • Strong analytical and problem solving skills; technical curiosity
  • Demonstrated ability to work in global, cross-functional, and virtual teams
  • Self-motivated, accountable, and having a sense of ownership and pride in the job
