Specifically, the position is on the Switching platform group of the BU. This group is responsible for delivering the software for SDK, HAL layer, and develop switching products. Marvell switch chips are built for enterprise, data center and carrier market segments. Marvell Switches are connected to millions of servers, WiFi access points and devicesMarvell switch silicon has one of the best processing pipeline that forwards and routes data. The software developed by the switching platfrom group enables the use of these chips on the customer platforms.This is a position with first line management responsibilities :

• Manage the activities of one teams of validation engineers working on switching software products validation.
• Provides technical/professional guidance on projects.
• Has some proven experience in leading people.
• Provides day-to-day oversight and direction, leveraging guidance of first-line managers and senior level individual contributors.
• Secures necessary resources to achieve objectives (screens, recruits, hires) and allocates resources to optimize capability within budget.
• Makes decisions for talent management activities including hiring, assessing, rewarding, retaining and developing employees.
• Develops departmental plans, including business, production and/or organizational priorities and delegates assignments to others.

Requirements:This is an opportunity to lead a team to support and develop platform solutions for the switching chip product family at Marvell.Position: Senior QA ManagerQualification: BE / B.Tech Experience: 15 yearsSkills:

• Bachelors or masters in Comp Science or related
• Self-motivated individual with the drive to lead people
• Hands-on knowledge of manual and test automation and manual and test automation strategies.
• Lab management skills ability to efficiently set-up and maintain a local lab environment.
• Some experience in software project management, preferably interacting directly with clients overseas
• Ability to build a multi-tiered team and experience running cross-functional projects is desired
• Demonstrated ability to drive a team to strictly follow a high-quality software validation process.

Successful candidates will have

• 15 years total experience, hands-on and as a manager, in areas of networking software platform testing manual and automation in the L2/L3 domain.
• At least 3-5 years of experience as a manager leading a team of QA engineers
• Hands-on knowledge of software development life cycle and project management life cycle in waterfall and agile environment
• Good knowledge of switching enterprise, carrier and data center technologies along with experience with IP Layer3 testing on embedded networking operating systems environment.
• Experience with SONiC Network Operating System or other open source NOS.
• Strong quality consciousness approach and a penchant for thoroughness
• Team player with strong skills in cooperation amongst key stake-holders
• Decisive, results-driven, people-oriented person with good networking skills along with the ability to motivate employees in the organization.
• Strong ability to see the whole picture and to focus on the important details in a pragmatic and result oriented way.
• International experience is a merit.
• Excellent written and oral communications skills in English
• Engineering Master/Bachelor s degree or equivalent work experience.
