• Design and execute experimental protocols in lab
• Engineering data generation to support lab and scale-up activities.
• Proficient in unit operations such as filtration, drying, crystallization, distillation, etc.
• Generate and evaluate process safety assessment reports to support scale-up activities.
• Provide technical support to scale-up campaigns in kilo and pilot plant and monitor the batch.
• Adequate knowledge in Dynochem.
• Support, monitoring and analysis of process performance and product quality data on a periodic basis.
• Attending client TC and responding to the queries appropriately. Perform experiments towards process intensification activities such as process feasibility evaluation, robustness testing, hypothesis testing etc
• Design and execute process optimization activities using advanced statistical tools such as DoE (Design of experiments), QbD, FMEA etc
• Effectively use PAT tools (ReactIR, FBRM, PVM) for experimentation
• Provide investigation support towards process abnormalities and supporting troubleshooting of plant activities
• Work with clients, project managers, operations, engineering and maintenance to coordinate activities in accordance with planned schedules, customer specifications, and establish quality standards.

Additional Responsibilities

• Assist team lead in collating process engineering information across developmental projects
• Attending client TC and responding to the queries appropriately.
• Executing multiple activities and manage priorities
• Coordination with multiple cross-functional teams for smooth execution of experiments/projects
• Collating the requisites of RFPs and communicating across the stakeholders of the department
• Information gathering exercise as and when required
• Assisting the facility establishment programs for the chemical development group.
• Able to work with little guidance or support to improve equipment and processes
• Able to assist multiple projects at the same time.
• Other tasks as required to assist technical operations, other departments, and the company.

EDUCATIONAL QUALIFICATION & EXPERIENCE

• M.Tech/M.E/M.S- Chemical engineering (1 to 2 yrs of exp.) or B.Tech/B.E- Chemical Engineering( 3 to 5 years of exp.) in process development and scale up activities.
• 1-3 years mandatory experience in a research environment at a bench level

TECHNICAL /FUNCTIONAL SKILLS

• Experience in working in a laboratory and production environment
• Experience in handling multiple projects and troubleshooting of a process is a plus
• Hands-on writing technical reports and review mechanism
• Strong skills with standard workplace software (word processor, spreadsheet, database, etc.)
• Ability to communicate ideas with cross-functional teams and coordinate
• Candidate should be result-oriented, highly motivated team member
• Experience in generating data around filtration, crystallization, polymorph screeing and other unit operations to support scaleup requirements
• Exposure towards literature search, Dynochem, Visimix, DoE (minitab/Design expert) and simulation software s etc.
• Understanding/orientation towards quality, safety, Data integrity, compliance and continuous improvement.
