Senior Specialist Solutions ArchitectPosting Location : Location Remote US NCPosting date 6 hours ago(5/11/2021 4:25 AM)Job ID 86698 Category Solution Architecture Job summary The Red Hat Business Unit is looking for a Senior Specialist Solutions Architect to join us. In this role, you will educate prospective customers in the capabilities of the Red Hat Middleware software offerings. You ll develop and conduct live demonstrations of our middleware offerings and assist sales teams in answering technical questions. Primary job responsibilities

  • Coordinate with Red Hat management to identify the products and services that best meet the customers IT needs
  • Collaborate with customers to understand the nature of the business problem and criteria for success
  • Ensure the Red Hat software effectively integrates with the customer s existing systems and applications
  • Define the application flows and performance of the customer s systems and document at what steps the Red Hat software will be engaged
  • Use modem programming languages and paradigms, including object-oriented programming, Java, scripting languages, reactive programming, microservices, and serverless computing
  • Collaborate with customers on application performance and throughput, as well as offering advice on locating and correcting coding errors
  • Be responsible for staying current and up-to-date on emerging technologies
  • Be responsible for identifying software and hardware prerequisites for Red Hat software
  • Assist customers with system and application design and modeling
  • Build relationships with customers to thoroughly understand the applications and how they are used
  • Recommend new equipment and/or software packages for Red Hat customers
Required skills
  • Bachelors degree (U.S. or foreign equivalent) computer science, computer engineering, or related and 5+ years of experience in the job offered or related role
  • 5+ years of experience with: event-driven architecture, object-oriented design and programming, loosely coupled interfaces, REST, API development and management, and domain-driven design; Enterprise Application Integration (EAI) Patterns or Apache Camel; application build automation tools, including Apache Maven, Jenkins, and Git; building business applications that are deployed in production settings with Java programming languages, or PHP, Python, HTML, JavaScript, Ruby, and Node.js; and full life cycle application development, including agile development methodologies, tools for source code management (SCM), continuous integration (CI), and test driven development (TDD)
  • 3+ years of experience with: business rules development and business process modeling (BPM) using Java-based tools; building applications on a distributed application platform like Java Enterprise Edition (JEE/J2EE); Enterprise JavaBeans (EJB), Context Dependency Injection (CDI), Servlets, Java Persistence API (JPA), and RESTful web interfaces (JAX-RS); Container-as-a-Service (CaaS) or Platform-as-a-Service (PaaS) environments, using products likeRed Hat OpenShift, Pivotal Cloud Foundry (PCF), Docker EE, Mesosphere, or IBM Bluemix; and open source and commercial messaging solutions, including Java Messaging Service (JMS), Apache ActiveMQ, Apache Kafka, or Tibco EMS/JMS
  • Willingness to travel up to 40% of the time; all travel expenses covered by Red Hat
