Specific Areas of Responsibility:Responsibilities the post holder will have on a day to day basis include:
  • Responsible for auditing the cleaning and validation processes for company datasets including data and producing appropriate data output for clients
  • Leading statistical analysis of data and routinely delivering reports and presentations to clients
  • Lead the development and delivery of training to the CMR team to promote understanding and interpretation of statistical methodologies and to expand the statistical skill base of the CMR team
  • Understand client requirements and using analytical expertise, define business requirements to colleagues and other teams
  • Understanding processes and suggesting changes to key business processes
  • To undertake any other reasonable duties as requested by line manager on a permanent or temporary basis.
Skills and Qualifications:
  • 5-7 years experience in a statistical background
  • Interest in a Pharma/Biotech R&D environment desirable
  • Analytical approach - the ability to distill results is essential. Good knowledge of database and spreadsheet tools will be a distinct advantage, with a high degree of proficiency in MS Office, particularly Excel and PowerPoint being highly desirable
  • Knowledge and expertise in statistics and good knowledge of statistical packages (for example, STATA, WinBUGS, R, SAS, Minitab)
  • Clear thinker and the ability to work well within teams
  • Ability to obtain information, analyse and interpret results and present them to colleagues and clients who are not statistics specialists
  • Excellent written and spoken English
  • A well organised approach, with demonstrable ability to work to challenging deadlines; an appreciation of project management highly desirable
  • Desire to take a highly proactive approach to continual process development and improvement
