Our customers are the world leading telecom operators using our products and technologies to manage their IoT/Home devices and protect their networks. As the cyberattack surface has grown, Nokia is offering technologies to help customers to provide the security and privacy that 5G, IoT, big data and cloud services demand while meeting high performance requirements. Our R&D Support team (4LS) is working on both traditional networks and cloud-based network architectures and protect end users and Internet of Things (IoT) devices from cyber threats. Our IoT/HDM device management products are cloud-enabled and allows enterprise and service providers to securely manage network connected devices (machine-to-machine, home) through the entire device lifecycle. As a Senior Technical Specialist 4LS, you will have a key role in solving the most critical and strategic issues in solution deployment and production issues acting as the interface between development team and services, care & customers.Key Responsibilities / Functions:Our team is looking for a talented and passionate support engineer for R&D Support (4LS) activities, having good knowledge of the telecom domain. You are active in networking with Nokia colleagues, building technical competency and knowledge sharing. Your tasks will include troubleshooting, problem solving, diagnosis and preventative activities which require remote and on-site support. You will report bugs based on performed test and differentiate between actual software bug, product limitations and as expected software behavior.

  • Execute security variability tests on new features based on current Nokia customers configuration
    • Isolate, duplicate, and resolve problems
You will be part of new product introduction ensuring that products are ready for live network deployment. You will participate in customer pilots and early trials.You will support customers by participating in 24x7 on-call rotation for emergency and scheduled maintenance windows. You will work with care teams to resolve problems within customer SLAs.Required Minimum Qualifications: (Education, Technical Skills/Knowledge)
  • Bachelor/Masters in Computer Engineering/Software Engineering/Electronic/Information Science
  • Work Experience : 5 to 8 years in Software R&D organisation
  • Good written and verbal communication skills in English.
  • Good knowledge of Telco and IT security
  • Experience working in a customer-oriented environment with ability to handle and resolve critical customer issues/problems.
  • Strong interpersonal skills and an ability to work directly with customers.
  • Networking concepts (TCP/IP, routing, firewalls, IPv6)
  • Working experience in Linux environment, shell scripts, DB (MariaDB, Oracle, etc.), and SOAP/REST APIs , XML, JSON, RabbitMQ, Keycloak, Wireshark etc
  • Knowledge of Virtualization environment: OpenStack/KVM/VMWare/AWS/Kubernetes/Docker
Desired Qualifications: (Education, Technical Skills/Knowledge)
  • Experience in software testing and automation
  • Knowledge of technologies/programming languages Java/C++, Python, Ansible
Competencies

    • Knowledge of web related technologies (Web applications, Web Services, Service Oriented Architectures) and of network/web related protocols
    • Vulnerability and threat management experience
    • Detailed technical knowledge of techniques, standards and state-of-the art capabilities for authentication and authorization, applied cryptography, security vulnerabilities and remediation
    • Knowledge of Security principles, techniques and technologies
  • Systems experience such as Ericsson (Telcordia/Granite), Amdocs (Cramer), Oracle SOAP, SSH, SNMP interface protocols is an advantage:
    • Expertise in Network Element security including user management, password rotation, video logging
    • Expertise in distributed computing and network management solutions
    • Knowledge of telecom networking equipment and telecom network Architectures (wireline, wireless, 3G, LTE. JMS, SDN, NFV, OTN,
    • SONET/SDM, MPLS)
