Come join the team that is building the future of Alexa in India.As a Senior Voice UX Designer, you will lead, define, and drive spoken language and multi-modal interfaces for existing and upcoming devices and services. You should be able to operate with significant autonomy, to generate concepts that solve customer problems, and evolve them into complete, well-documented frameworks that deliver strong results against business goals.You must be proactive, because you will regularly find yourself in uncharted territory where the key to your success will be to forge a path forward to keep the team ahead of the curve. You must be a collaborator, as you will be working side by side with product managers, engineers, and other UX designers WW to bring your designs to life. And most importantly, you must excel at conceptualizing spoken and multimodal experiences in the abstract, communicating them effectively to the larger team, and driving that vision into solid design deliverables.We are looking for a designer who can: Produce user flows, wire-frames, prototypes, and rigorous user interface specifications Present design work to the user experience team, product team, Amazon executives, and external partners for review and feedback Confidently defend design rationale used to create solutions in frequent executive-level design reviews Work with our usability and data mining and research teams to assess and optimize new and existing features and page frameworks Draw on depth of experience, but initiate usability and testing efforts as needed to build a truly customer backward design Conduct analyses of real usage data to inform UX design efforts Drive root cause analyses to respond to UX performance issues Start simple while not losing sight of the long-term vision Thrive in a nimble, start-up like environment Communicate clearly and think quickly, BASIC QUALIFICATIONS Masters Degree in a design related field or equivalent professional experience. 7+ years of experience as a voice designer, interaction designer, user interface designer, or similar role Bachelor s Degree in Human Computer Interaction, Design, Linguistics, Computer Science, Engineering, Cognitive Science, or a related field, or equivalent experience. . Professional portfolio of voice design Experience working on projects from inception to shipping product. Experience presenting to and advising senior management. Design voice experience on tablet, mobile, or television consumer devices Experience with design tools, such as MS Visio, InVision, Sketch, Axure, or Omnigraffle Experience with Photoshop, Illustrator, InDesign, Sketch or their functional equivalents will be an add on Experience working directly with developers for implementation of designs Professional experience in voice or multimodal speech interfaces. Track record of delivering large scale strategic design initiatives with a bias toward scalable systems and patterns. Ability to manage ambiguity, work autonomously, and multi-task in an agile environment Passion for learning and innovation, balanced with business needs and customer expectations Demonstrated ability to both deliver a bold vision and iterate quickly on concepts to arrive at an amazing customer experience Strong sense of ownership, urgency, and drive Excellent communication, presentation, business writing and storytelling skills. Experience leading and working in rapid, iterative design and development processes.
