Information Technology Job Area Information Technology Location India - Bangalore Job Overview QCT Engineering Compute Technologies Software Solutions Development (SSD) team, is looking for a highly self-driven, passionate technical software development project manager who can provide hands-on support to various software development products. These products include, but are not limited to, solutions for management of our compute grid, EDA (electronic design automation) licenses, storage, multi-site data synchronization and overall IT infrastructure. You will work closely with the IT architecture, grid administration, data management, license management and design data management teams. You are energized by change, enjoy adopting new technologies, and keen to solve problems within a collaborative environment. You must be a detail-oriented, delivery-obsessed, customer-centric candidate who will be responsible for scoping and delivering complex projects. Strong interpersonal skills, judgment and leadership are essential to succeed in this role. You will help software developers to focus on core software development execution, while leading the program/project management aspects of product scoping, definition, planning, execution/tracking, driving/leading Agile/Scrum process as needed. Minimum Qualifications id= hdnMinimumQualifications >* Bachelors degree in the areas of IT, Information Systems, Engineering, Computer Science, or related field. * 7+ years Project Management-relevant work experience in IT. * PMO, PMP, or Six Sigma Project Management Certification. * 3+ years of work experience in a role requiring interaction with senior leadership (e.g., Director level and above). * 3+ years managing operating budgets and/or project financials. Preferred Qualifications = -Ten or more years of experience in applying Agile/Scrum Project Management techniques. PMP certification is a plus -Should have exposure to at least one programming language (Preferably Java, PERL, PYTHON) -Extensive experience in product/feature release planning -Demonstrated understanding of software development models and a track record of shipping software products using Agile methodologies -Able to run Scrum meetings, track milestones and drive releases to on-time delivery -Able to gather requirements for software development from stake holders and document them for developers consumption. -Able to do user acceptance testing for the features developed by developers. -Management skills to manage one or more large, complex programs/projects simultaneously -Expert in identifying bottlenecks, risks and come up with mitigation plans -Knowledge and use of industry standard program/Project methods, tools and techniques -Fundamentals in object-oriented design, data structures, algorithms -exposure to Linux based systems. -Basic Knowledge of overall High-Performance computing environment -Solid communication skills to convey both technical and non-technical concepts to a wide audience -Strong analytical, problem-solving, verbal, listening and interpersonal skills including negotiations -Must have both functional Knowledge and technical competence -Must be Able to work in and with other teams and as an individual contributor.
