Job Description

Asset Management Newton team provides solutions across key Risk data for Asset & wealth management LOB. We are looking for an individual (6-10 yrs) who will be responsible for the technical delivery of the strategic Risk platform (DB Oracle PL/SQL, Informatica).Key Responsibilities

  • Identify, analyze, and interpret trends or patterns in complex data sets
  • Innovate new ways of managing, sourcing, transforming and validating data
  • Establish and enforce guidelines to ensure consistency, quality and completeness of data assets
  • Apply quality assurance best practices to all work products
  • Analyze, design and code business-related solutions, as well as core architectural changes, using an Agile programming approach resulting in software delivered on time and in budget
Requirements
  • Bachelors or Masters degree in Computer Science/Software Engineering or a related field
  • Deeply passionate about learning and innovating using the latest and greatest in big data engineering, cloud.
  • Extensive experience in Oracle PL/SQL, SQL Tuning and Informatica ETL Tool
  • Hands on experience in interpreting Active session history to understand database bottlenecks to solve complex database performance issues.
  • Basic knowledge of programming languages like Java and scripting languages like Shell is a plus.
  • Preferred to have knowledge on big data technologies such as Hadoop, HDFS, Hive, Spark.
  • Familiar with development tools such as Jenkins, Crucible/Jira, Git/Stash etc.
Nice to Have
  • Experience in re-engineering and migrating on-premises data solutions to and for the cloud
  • Experience in building on emerging cloud server less managed services, to minimize/eliminate physical/virtual server footprint
  • Familiarity with predictive analytics, data science, machine learning, deep learning
