Job Description

We are looking for a web savvy, energetic, motivated and experienced software engineer for our engineering escalations team. This team is critical for Catchpoints ability to continue to scale and grow, acting as a conduit between the support and engineering organizations, and helping troubleshoot and fix product issues. This individual must have the passion and energy to work in an entrepreneurial and fast paced environment.

Responsibilities:

  • Facilitate, follow, enforce, and improve the engineering escalations process.
  • Head escalation resolutions requiring extensive analysis, troubleshooting and collaboration with product development teams
  • Engineer and investigate both platform (OS, infrastructure, network, etc) and product issues.
  • Respond and analyze complex customer technical problems which are not routine, and require research or creative problem solving to resolve.
  • Work with support and product teams to update product documentation.
  • Assist other engineering teams with testing and validation as needed.

Qualifications:

  • 4+ years of software development or IT operations experience
  • 2+ years of experience working in agile software development environment
  • Strong experience and understanding of some of the following:
  • SaaS scaling and reliability
  • Network Infrastructure & Security
  • Network protocols
  • Operating systems administration & internals (Windows and/or Linux)
  • Data engineering
  • Distributed systems
  • Our stack relies on the following technologies, so experience with them is a plus:
  • OOA/OOD
  • C# .NET
  • JavaScript
  • .NET Core
  • C++
  • Jenkins
  • Octopus Deploy
  • GitHub
  • Excellent verbal and written communications skills
  • Ability to learn quickly and perform effectively under pressure.
  • Strong technical aptitude
  • Bachelor s degree Computer Science, Information Technology, or related field
