About Mobile NetworksMobile Networks, which includes mobile network products, network deployment and technical support services, and related network management. This business group will offer the full portfolio for customers wanting to buy mobile access networks. It target leadership in key technologies such as 5G, ORAN and vRAN.Job DescriptionThe work assignment will be in the Transport & Transport OAM Entity Specification and Plane Functional Specification for BTS (gNodeB/eNodeB) for various product lines like 5G, SRAN, CloudBTS, ASMRAP, Small Cell, LTE and WCDMA. As a Specification Engineer in Transport team you will do:

  • Specifying Transport entity functional requirements, plane functional requirements use cases and parameters.
  • Develop and maintain various interface specification documents with description of interfaces with other NEs.
  • To be a Lead Specification Engineer/Feature Owner in the FOT team to drive the FOT level Grooming and Sub-Feature refinement activities.
  • To drive Green Light Review (GLR) activities in FOT
  • Contribute to SW architecture, prototyping and design closely working with development teams.
  • Support development and test teams during feature development.
  • Defining Packet flow for various customer scenarios in the IP backhaul network
  • Review design documents and feature test cases for requirement coverage.
  • Contribution to new products like cloud based architecture and proposals for next generation (cloud, 5G) Base Stations.
  • Analysis of complex customer problem report, proposing solutions and working with various teams for resolutions.
  • To fix faults in the Entity and Plane Specification of Transport and take all measure to identify the Root cause and take actions to avoid the fault in future.
Job Responsibilities & Competencies
  • Hands-on experience in the area of software development/testing, background in telecommunication technologies & following skills are required:
    • Experience in networking, IP backhaul, IPv4, IPv6, QoS, L2 Switching, Transport Signalling/interworking & Transport Interfaces Domain.
    • Comprehensive knowledge of 5G/LTE/SRAN/GSM
    • Experience in Requirement Management and knowledge of requirement management tools like DOORS
    • Knowledge of various RFC s / standards related IP, Ethernet
    • Experience in object oriented design, implementation and test of Real time embedded Systems.
    • Knowledge in Agile methodologies
    • Experience in C++/C programming and software testing in Linux/Unix embedded environments
  • Personal Attributes :

    • Networking and Communication skills in multi-site environment
    • Well organized, committed and quality oriented team player.
    • Good command over spoken and written English.
Qualifications
  • Graduate/Post-Graduate degree in Computer Science or a similar subject.
  • Minimum 10 years of experience in mobile networks product system engineering, development, system test or network engineering
