Job Description

Position Title: Sr. Analyst - IT Manufacturing SAP PP/QM/PMPosition Summary: This position works in the Global IT Manufacturing/Operations team and is responsible for development and support of the SAP system in the modules PP PM and QM as well as interfaces/exposer to other IT systems. The role will consist potentially leading projects, serving as an SAP PP/QM/PM team member on projects and supporting the business manufacturing teams. The role will interact with global business and IT team members as well as locally in India for all aspects of the role and will participate in the strategy/vision of this area.

  • Respond to production application and systems problems in modules PP, PM and QM and handle the analysis and remediation efforts. This includes being on call and support off-hours and holidays.
  • Support our international user community in all SAP operations module related questions and incidents
  • Develop concepts within the global footprint and execute SAP configuration for projects, enhancements or incidents. This includes the documentation of the implemented solutions.
  • Create and communicate functional specifications for the development team for projects and enhancements
  • Support the development team in functional design questions for projects, enhancements and incidents
  • Execute / lead assigned projects and activities within the operations area
  • Analyze simple ABAP code issues to support the development team in code related incidents
  • Create and maintain functional training documents
  • Provide end user training
  • Create and maintain end user training documents
  • Define and adopt new development approaches and technology
Additional Details:
  • Bachelors Degree in Information Technology, Information Systems Engineering or related degree
  • 5 years of technical experience within at least one of the SAP modules PP, PM or QM.
  • 3 years of experience in Project Management
  • Integration with cross functional modules like Manufacturing Execution, Classification and/r Engineering systems
  • Strong English Communication Skills (verbal and written)
  • Demonstrated ability to work in a team environment, effectively interacting with others.
  • Experience in off/on shore model as well as working with Virtual teams.
  • Conceptual and analytical thinker ability to extract, analyze and document complex business and technical requirements/strategies from customers and IT team members.
  • Working knowledge of SAP ECC 6.0 Modules (MM, LE)
  • Experience with international or global SAP deployments
  • Rudimentary ABAP code understanding and experience with LSMW
  • Basic understanding of manufacturing execution systems and process control areas
  • Manufacturing or business experience with a solid understanding of business operations /processes
