Search Jobs Job DescriptionSeeking a highly motivated Network Engineer with a passion to work in a complex virtual and distributed computing environment to join our NSX development team. We are a close-knit team focused on delivering next generation hybrid cloud solutions with SaaS in mind. You will be responsible for architecting, implementing and optimizing solutions in network space encompassing available and future hardware and software components. You will interact directly with other R&D teams to aid the absorption of these technologies into current and future product lines.Job Role & Responsibilities* Research hybrid cloud network solutions for enhancement, development and deployment in a datacenter.* Develop prototypes using latest software/ hardware constructs/platforms.* Implement algorithms to validate and improve efficiencies of current systems.* Create and run various test cases to find optimum scenarios for large scale distributed systems.* Work on optimizing resource utilization of systems.* Oversee with R&D teams to adopt researched technologies into their product line.* Document architectures, procedures, and processes.* Apply creative testing to further improve quality of products.* Communicate technical dependencies and concerns/issues of implementations.* Multi-functional engagement with various VMware engineering teams.Required Qualifications* Strong Knowledge of networking concepts in IPv6, IPv4.* Strong knowledge of C/C, Python, databases, distributed systems and object oriented concepts.* Expertise and real passion for working in vertical stack from management plane to data plane.* Should have real passion for research and innovation.* Excellent interpersonal and communications skills be able to interact well with developers internally as well as across VMware.* Strong analytical, problem-solving, and debugging skills.* Deep understanding of virtualization concepts.* Masters Degree in Computer Science/Electrical Eng.Preferred Qualifications* Experience in public cloud environments, AWS, Azure, Google Cloud* Experience in DPDK is a plusVMware is an Equal Opportunity Employer and Prohibits Discrimination and Harassment of Any Kind: VMware is committed to the principle of equal employment opportunity for all employees and to providing employees with a work environment free of discrimination and harassment.
