Job Description

Job Responsibilities

  • Formulating the technical roadmap, relevant for sub-systems considering technologies, application trends & system integration strategy
  • Develops functional specifications for complex electrical and electro-mechanical systems and power distribution
  • Creation of the modular electrical architecture, ensuring the mutual consistency and efficient integration of the separate modules to meet safety, reliability & performance specifications
  • Conceives, designs, integrates, tests, and documents complex electrical systems through manufacturing release
Mandatory skills to perform the job
  • Master s (MS, ME, M.Tech) in Electrical engineering (specialization in either of power systems & electronics, controls, instrumentation) with minimum 15 years of relevant experience
  • Experience in system one-line design for different types of power distribution systems, preferably different industries with design centric responsibilities
  • Expertise with power quality equipment design such as surge protection devices, power factor correction capacitors or uninterruptible power supplies.
  • Highly proficient in panel integration with Safety Interlocks, Safety PLC s & closed-loop power controls
Desired Skills (Good to have)
  • Experience in industrial automation panel design (SCADA, DCS, etc)
  • Experience with PCB based, modular power distribution unit design
  • Experience in working with cross-disciplinary teams (including mechanical, electro-mechanical, software, process, manufacturing engineers) for major projects with multi-national work environment.
  • Experience in selection of components, setting up equipment for experimentation / testing in laboratory environment, setting up safe practices.
  • Demonstrated understanding and implementation of relevant design & compliance standards (e.g. NEC, NFPA, UL, IEC standard, etc)
