We re looking for someone with experience with Java, JSP, JavaScript, HTML, CSS, PostgreSQL, and AWS. You will be part of a team that is responsible for all aspects of the Software Development lifecycle stages. The Java Developer will work with teammates to design, develop, build, release, test, deploy, troubleshoot, document, and support ESD testing applications. Development activities will include updating existing the JASPER/ESDTRT job submission/data retrieval applications and developing new software solutions to address a specific need or solve a particular problem.Job Responsibilities:

• Strong Object-Oriented Programming (Java) and design skills

• Work through all stages of the software development life cycle from requirements, development, test and release
• Maintain existing JASPER and ESDTRT applications by debugging and applying bug fixes for development and production code
• Quickly design and develop fully documented and deliverable Java code that is high quality, testable, easy to maintain, and that meets the Definition of Done
• Create automated unit, system and acceptance tests for the JASPER and ESDTRT applications
• Be a team player in an Agile environment, participating in daily scrum meetings, sprint planning, retrospectives, etc.

• Interact collaboratively with other team members and internal customers to ensure that requirements are understood
• Participate in discussions of functional requirements, design, code reviews and releases of software components with other developers
• Timely and accurate reporting and status of assigned software development and/or maintenance tasks as required by Team Lead
• Manage multiple work requests simultaneously with minimal direction
• Write and maintain documentation to support customer acceptance testing for new application releases

, *Required Qualifications:

• 5+ years of experience with Bachelors Degree in Computer Science, Software Engineering, Computer Engineering or equivalent; or foreign equivalent required from an accredited institution
• Strong experience and understanding of Java Object-Oriented programming concepts and Software Design patterns
• Must have excellent verbal and written communication skills (English) and ability to work effectively and communicate in a global organization

• Must have reliable internet and technologies to operate in a remote setting
• Must have ability to adapt quickly to changing needs & requirements
• Must have ability and willingness to support and work with others within and outside of dept.

Preferred Qualifications:

• Experience working with Software Development Life Cycle SDLC methodologies
• Experience working with Object-Oriented Web application design and development
• Experience in software development of Java Applications under JBOSS EAP 7 and Spring-MVC framework concepts, Data Structures
• Experience working with JSP, JavaScript, HTML/CSS and Web API to improve front end functionality
• Experience working with SQL (preferably PostgreSQL) and familiarity with Hibernate (Java)

• Experience working with Webservices(SOAP/REST/JSON) and Configuring web containers
• Experience working with Eclipse IDE, GIT software version control, Apache Maven project building tools
• Experience working with JBoss, Apache Tomcat

Bonus Skills & Experience:

• Experience writing automated unit tests (JUnit)
• Jira (Atlassian collaboration tool)
• Jenkins automation code build and deploy tools
• Cloud application development (AWS)

Working Arrangements:

• Must be able to work during normal business hours within the Eastern time zone
• Monday through Friday or as defined by assignment requirements.
• Must have reliable internet and technologies to operate in a remote setting
