Job Description

Leica Microsystems Staff Test EngineerResponsibilities

  • Work closely with the Product Manager in ensuring requirements are clear and QA to ensure the team adheres to Quality management system
  • Review the deliverable of test team and guide, support team in writing test procedures, automation
  • Define and execute test strategy. Ensure processes used for testing are adequate and appropriate
  • Generate and conduct automated and manual tests to ensure the software created by the Software Engineering team is fit for purpose
  • Management of test coverage to ensure all requirements are adequately tested
  • Participate in troubleshooting and triaging of new issues to generate root cause identification and resolution
  • Drive continuous improvement of the job and activities by improving test coverage and efficiency
  • Setup CI/CD pipeline and maintain it
  • Ensure compliance to organizational policies, procedures and regulatory requirements such as FDA 21CFR820, ISO 13485, IEC62304
Skills/ Desired Characteristics
  • Is self-aware, Is a team player and has a strong work ethic
  • Bachelor s degree in Computer Science or Information technology
  • Experience of test scripting, GUI test automation using Test Complete/ Selenium and C# or similar scripting language
  • Excellent documentation skills test cases, defect reports, test execution reports
  • Experience managing CI/ CD tools like Jenkins, Team city
  • Excellent oral and written communication skills
  • Good inter-personal and time management skills
  • Experience of medical device quality standards such as IEC 62304, ISO 13485, ISO 9001 and ISO 14971
  • Experience of working in an Agile environment, testing user stories
  • Good systems knowledge to work within a cross-functional and remote teams
  • Interested in mentoring other team members
  • Experience with conflict resolution
  • Interested in continuous improvement activities by driving the implementation of process and product quality improvement initiatives.
  • Self-starter with a sense of urgency to resolve issues and complete projects.
  • Passionate about the team, customers, quality, sharing knowledge and collaborating across teams
