Job Description

Power Electronics : Systems Functional Safety Engineer Location : Tech Center , Bangalore (earlier Delphi Technologies) B.E/B. Tech/M.E/M.Tech in Power Electronics/Electronics/Communication/ElectricalExperience: 3 to 5 yearsMajor Job Responsibilities:

  • Responsible for functional and technical safety analysis and design for Transmission , Inverter and other PE sub systems,
  • Analysis of safety goals, derive the product functional safety requirements, and follow other functional safety process steps.
  • Propose solutions for System/product based on ISO 26262 standard.
  • Coordinate the creation of product development work products including ISO-26262, software requirements documents, electronic circuit requirements documents, functional test plans, etc., in order to develop, confirm, and document designs that meet technical and Functional Safety requirements .
  • Support the creation of high-level mechanization diagrams to document the functional safety design features, alongside the non-safety features.
  • Develop and maintain system and design FMEA methodologies, DFA , FTA process.
  • Ensure requirements traceability, completeness, coverage and plan improvements.
  • Analyze customer and internal requirements and specifications and translates these into the system design.
  • Participates in internal and customer-driven design reviews throughout the program supported by Global and local SMEs.
Major Job Qualifications Experience:
  • Automotive electric electronic control system experience with minimum 2 years in Automotive Functional Safety.
  • Safety mindset and strong know-how on ISO26262 - Hazard analyses Risk Assessment - Functional Safety requirements - Technical Safety requirements - Safety at Software & Hardware Level
  • Should have experience of working on safety analysis like FMEA, FTA, DFA for system / software / hardware , Medini tool
  • Should have experience of Hardware Architecture metrics (FMEDA) as per ISO26262 requirements.
  • Knowledge of power electronics systems, Transmission systems, inverter operation. Proficient with ISO-26262 Functional Safety principles, processes and work products
  • Should be able to understand software snippets and functional flow
  • Familiar with automotive quality management and product development processes
  • Knowledge of automotive microprocessors. Familiarity with electric/hybrid vehicles.
