Job Description

Mobile Networks, which includes mobile network products, network deployment and technical support services, and related network management. This business group will offer the full portfolio for customers wanting to buy mobile access networks. It target leadership in key technologies such as 5G, ORAN and vRAN.Job DescriptionThe work assignment will be in the Transport System Specification for BTS (gNodeB/eNodeB) for various product lines like 5G, SRAN, LTE and WCDMA. As a System specification Engineer in Transport team you will do:

  • Specifying E2EBTS Transport System Requirements and Use Cases, define Network Element Interfaces and System level Feature spilt.
  • To work on internal / external customer requirements (feature inputs) and drive analysis efforts to help build the transport features into the product
  • Involve in Long/short term improvements to specification work and improvements to team environment and guide new innovations
  • Role involves analysis and design of Transport features for the 5G/LTE/WCDMA radio access technologies
  • Prototype / Feasibility studies for BTS Transport
  • Contribution to Overall Global Architecture and Specification Forums
  • Strong Interworking with Product management, development and test squads for requirement analysis & developing architecture.
  • Technical Thought leadership and innovation capability
  • Solves/avoids most complex problems, through understanding dependencies across product / system boundaries.
  • To fix faults in the System Specification of Transport and take all measure to identify the Root cause and take actions to avoid the fault in future.
  • To define Object Modelling for the transport features that are specified.
Job Responsibilities & Competencies
  • Hands-on experience in the area of software architecture, background in telecommunication technologies & following skills are required:
    • Experience in networking, IP backhaul, IPv4, IPv6, QoS, L2 Switching, Transport Signalling/interworking & Transport Interfaces Domain.
    • Comprehensive knowledge of 5G/LTE/SRAN/GSM
    • Experience in Requirement Management and knowledge of requirement management tools like DOORS
    • Knowledge of various RFC s / standards related IP, Ethernet
    • Experience in object oriented design, implementation and test of Real time embedded Systems.
    • Experience in creating Transport Solutions for IP Backhaul connectivity.
    • Knowledge in Agile methodologies
    • Experience in C++/C programming and software testing in Linux/Unix embedded environments
  • Need to Collaborate and co-operate with other teams on object modelling techniques as part of feature analysis.
  • Should have strong prior expertise in object modelling techniques.

Qualifications
  • Graduate/Post-Graduate degree in Computer Science or a similar subject.
  • Minimum 12 years of experience in mobile networks product system engineering, development, system test or network engineering
