Job Description Essential duties and responsibilities include the following. Responsible for execution of day to day tasks related to monitoring and managing relational database management systems Five to 10 years of professional experience in an established software services organization. This is not an entry-level position. Strong overall communication skills -- e.g., verbal and written. Complete fluency in English is a must. Strong inter-cultural sensitivity -- e.g., understands, accepts, and is willing and able to successfully operate in a culturally diverse organization. Passion for excellence, and strong sense of urgency. Self-starter-- i.e., takes initiative to learn, and initiative to solve issues. Must demonstrate willingness and ability to be a quick learner. Does not require hand holdingto ramp up. Ability to effectively communicate with end users who are business-oriented, and often times director level (e.g., Heads of Business, Finance, and Human Resource departments, including Payroll), and/or assistant superintendent level in USA-based K-12 organizations. Willingness and ability to work collaboratively with other key functional areas within PowerSchool -- e.g., eFP DEV; TSG; Cloud Ops; etc. Willingness and ability to challenge the status quo, and champion opportunities to improve processes and procedures. Willingness and ability to work a schedule that ensures proper coverage and availability for USA-based eFP business. Strong service and support mindset -- i.e., understands the importance of strong customer relationships, and positive overall customer experiences. Relentless follow-up and closing skills. Ideal candidate has experience with Enterprise Resource Planning (ERP) products and solutions. Uber-Idealcandidate would understand the K-12 education domain. Other duties as assigned Skills/Requirements Qualifications include: Skilled systems engineer with deep background in technologies and protocols common to eFinancePLUS -- e.g., 4GL, SMTP, full Microsoft suite (e.g. SQL Server, Windows operating systems; Edge, etc.). Strong background in networking technology highly desirable. Primary focus is on software -- e.g., operating system; middleware; etc. Strong understanding of relevant hardware technology highly desirable. Strong troubleshooting skills. Ability to identify and clearly define root cause, and recommend proactive approaches to avoid problems in general, and especially to prevent recurrence. Ability to quickly learn and assimilate new technologies as they are introduced into the eFinancePLUS product. Takes the initiative to stay ahead of the associated learning curve without prompting to do so. ,
